There are 5 prepacked kits to choose from (Oakham, Hambleton, Langham, Lyndon and Ashwell). Each kit creates an attractive random pattern (as illustrated) which can easily be linked together to extend to any size area. Alternatively create your own design with these easy to use module sizes. There are different combinations of Pre-packed paving kits that include 2 or 3 different sized paving in each kit. The irregular Riven pattern and fettled edges are faithfully reproduced to give a truly random and unprocessed appearance. Pre-packed Textured Paving gives a more contemporary feel to modern garden design and available in 3 pastel colours; Natural, Dark Grey and Yellow (Buff). Using a Derbyshire aggregate to create an attractive course granular appearance; textured paving offers excellent none slip properties. Benefits from paving having a consistent thickness. Textured pre-packed kits are only available in the Oakham pattern. To make jointing easier we offer an all weather easypave jointing compound in a choice of 3 colours (Stone Grey, Buff and Basalt). Its colour and texture, normally only created through hundreds of years of weathering, is now available to both amateur and professional garden designers. 12 13 Premier and Basic Riven Paving Rumbled Basic York Paving available in 450x450mm only has a simulated stone finish that reproduces the attractive appearance of natural Yorkstone at a fraction of the cost. Colours: Natural, Stone and Red. For that something extra check out Stonecraft Premier Riven, available in 600x600mm, 450x450mm and 600x300mm. Whilst having the same benefits as Basic York Paving, it has a superior riven finish with virtually straight sides, enabling projects to dispense with pointing by brushing sand between the paving. The natural hand cut Sandstone & Li mestone has been selected to provide you with a wide array of choice. All the stone comes from approved Quarries. This not only assures top quality product but also a stone that has been ethically sourced and produced. Manor Walling comes in Autumn Gold, Mellow Stone and Winter Stone and captures the charm of Natural Stone walling. The blocks contain random shaped stone pieces for an authentic look. This can be used for facing higher walls. Abbey Walling Stonecraft paving has achieved an authentic stone appearance for its pitched walling by giving the blocks traditional dressing methods to expose the natural aggregate c hippings. Available in Calder brown and Mellow York, the 3 sizes includes a larger jumper block for random laying. Because the blocks are predominately double sided, pitched walling is ideal for single skin features like barbecues. Tumbled Cottage stone walling has a rough irregular shape and finish that replicates old weathered stone. It is especially popular in rural areas. It is an authentic cost effect ive alternative to natural stone that is readily accepted and approved by local planning authorities and conservationists. Available in five traditional shades, it looks particularly impressive when regal-looking corner units are incorporated into the design. Scalloped Edging The distinctive scalloped shape of this edging will look particularly striking in the more cotemporary garden. 18 19 Fencing Useful tips that will enhance the beauty of your garden Stonecraft paving aim to offer our customers products that meet the very highest standards of timber manufacturing. concrete, recommendations are 25mm fall in 1500mm. For areas with heavier loads (cars, caravans etc) a solid concrete base 150mm (6 ) thick needs to be laid using a mix of 5 parts coarse ballast to 1 part cement. The slabs must be laid directly on to this base when it is wet and well bedded to avoid air pockets. Stonecraft Paving offer a wide range of fencing materials that include traditional styles such as Overlap and Closeboard along with the Elite range of fencing. We also offer concrete and wooden posts and gravel boards in two sizes. Our timber products also include a selection of Wooden Sleepers and a range of Decking materials. This image: Elite This image: Autumn Gold 1. Garden Design. Collect your ideas together and sketch them on paper before you start. Give yourself time to change your designs as your ideas progress. 2. Measuring. Accurate measurements help save time and money. Check your measurements twice before you buy your materials. Continue to check your measurements as your work progresses. 3. Ordering. Order all your materials to complete your project at one time. Do not begin until all the paving for the area you are working on is on site. See also points 4 and 5. 6. Mixing Mortar. A good mortar mix suitable for most garden projects is 1 part cement to 5 parts sand. 7. Cutting. If cutting is necessary this is best done by scoring all around the slab along the line you wish to cut down, then using a diamond blade cut off the part not required. 8. Pointing. When pointing is required leave a gap of 1.0cm 1.5cm between each slab to allow a key for the pointing mix. The above points are for guidance only, if you are in any doubt take expert advice. 4. Checking Products. Always check the products before use. Every precaution is taken to ensure consistency of shades but concrete is a natural product and minor shade variations are often unavoidable. 5. Laying Paving. Get the ground work right. All paving should be laid on firm foundations of sand and cement. When more than one pack is required on a project use materials from a minimum of three packs to blend in any shade variations. Remember, especially if your patio or path is against a building; always give a fall to the patio to allow water to run off, poor drainage can cause damage to This image: Court Yard Important Do not brush dry mortar into joints for pointing as this can cause severe staining. Do not use any chemical cleaning agent on any of our products. Do not use any other artificial surface treatments. Do not use rock salt to de-ice paving.
