The HR Advisor works closely with the Human Resources Manager in delivery of all facets of contemporary human resources practices including, but not limited to: recruitment and selection, performance management, dispute resolution, training and development, employee workplace rehabilitation and daily operational tasks to support stakeholders of IFYS Limited. PRIMARY PURPOSE Contribute to the development; implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices which provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to IFYS Limited to support organisational needs. In consultation with the Human Resources Manager, provide a high level advisory service to all line management and staff within IFYS program areas and regional centres within a decentralised working environment including regional centres on HR management, workplace relations and Work Cover matters. Recommend, initiate and implement strategies to enhance IFYS Limited people management capabilities. Undertake the full range of functions for recruitment, selection and appointment for regional centres. Assist in the monitoring of HR compliance issues and undertake daily operational HR functions. Provide a high level consultancy and advisory service to line management and staff on HR management issues including the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of IFYS policies, procedures and guidelines together with the interpretation of relevant Acts, Regulations, Awards, industrial Agreements and legislation relevant to HR and the provision of advice on contemporary HR practices. Participate in HR projects as required by the Manager Human Resources, including research and preparation of documents for Manager s review and implementation of recommendations. In consultation with the Manager Human Resources, provide advice to line management on organisational structure issues. Ensure effective communication with all staff to maintain ethical and transparent working relationships. Manage more complex queries and issues as provided by the Human Resources Manager. Ensure consistency is maintained in all aspects of human resource management within IFYS Limited, and that these are in alignment with IFYS practices. Recruitment and Selection Act as an advisor on human resource matters to selection committees for all staff appointments, including ensuring travel and accommodation arrangements are made for interviewees where required. Serve as a member of selection committees where required and as appropriate. Draft and prepare advertisements. Provide advice, draft and prepare position descriptions and selection criteria for all staff positions in collaboration with the relevant senior manager. Prepare all recruitment and selection documentation, including shortlist matrix, interview matrix, selection matrix and reference check matrix in accordance with IFYS policies and procedures. Coordinate the recruitment and selection process, from advertisement to interview for all positions. Induct new staff where appropriate and ensure staff ceasing employment, undertake the necessary exit procedures. Industrial Relations Ensure compliance with Industrial Awards, Legislation and Employment Contracts. Provide assistance to the Human Resources Manager in helping managers and staff to deal with industrial issues, including performance management in accordance with relevant legislation and in support of IFYS policy and procedure. Assist line managers in position classification and reclassification processes. Policy & Compliance Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of internal policies, guidelines, procedures and processes which provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of HR services to IFYS Limited. Assist in monitoring and ensuring organisational legislative compliance in relation to workplace practices. Contribute to IFYS s workplace culture through the development, review and promotion of the IFYS Code of Conduct. Human Resource Information and Rostering System Primarily responsible for the integrity of data held, checking input and maintenance of personnel data into the Roster Live System for all staff. Investigate data problems in the HR system and provide advice to the HR Manager on more complex aspects of data entry. Ensure input and associated documentation are checked to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant awards, agreements and policies, as well as for quality control purposes. Generate and review reports relating to various human resource functions (e.g. staff licence expiration lists, increment reports, data cleansing) for circulation to various managers and business units. Provide reports to relevant senior managers, as required. Other Assist with the provision of report requirements for the organisation including turnover, training, exit data, staff surveys, recruitment response rates and any others as required by the Human Resources Manager. Assist with other activities as required and directed by the Human Resources Manager.
