PROJECT BRIEF PROJECT LOCATION: - Pahar Kua Marble Range Mining Project Q L No 235 is located near village Pahar Kua, Tehsil Makrana., District Nagaur Rajasthan. Project is approachable from national highway. Nearest railway station is Makrana on NW Railway. PROJECT DETAILS Project Type: - This is a small scale open cast semi mechanized mining project based on mining lease granted/ to be granted by Government of Rajasthan over an area of 1.0219 Hectare on non forest land. Project capacity: - The project shall have an annual production of 3000 MTA of Marble. PROJECT ACTIVITY The project comprises of Mining of Marble by small scale open cast manual/semi mechanized method. The project activity may be divided into four components namely (i) Bed Rock Excavation of Marble and over/ Interburden (ii) Haulage of over/inter burden and mined out Marble to stack yard and overburden dumps. The Marble then transported out from project area ( mining lease area ) to consumer centers by trucks, and (iii) Environment management activity comprising of abetment of environmental degradation and enhancement of project aesthetics. The Marble occur as Metamorphic beds and have regular surface expanse. The Marble l bed is overlain by a thin cap of soil/ weathered rock. ENVIRONMENTEL ACPECTS OF THE PROJECT The mining activity change land from of the area and quit some area within project area is changed into open pits and rock waste dump over and above ground level. Air environment is subject to dust generation to some extent by rock-excavation and movement of man and vehicle over mines roads. Because of size of mining and transport of vehicle some dust within possible limits generated. Dust suppression made by making proper maintenance of mines road and mining machinery.
