CONSTRUCTION LOOK AHEAD FOR 86 TH STREET STATION AREA for next 3 months Major Operations in the next three months: Contract 5A - JDSI Complete rock excavation at North and South Shafts and cover with decking in preparation for Cavern mining work (Contract 5B) Substantial completion in mid-october and turn-over site to Contract 5B Contract t 5B - STJV Contract 5B is performing pre-construction building classification and condition surveys and installing monitoring instrumentation on buildings Perform site clearing, including muni-meters, mailboxes, and trees Cut sidewalks and set up work zones on 86th Street Complete remaining sewer work on 86th Street

Controlled Rock Blasting and Removal The safety of the public and our workers is the MTA s top priority. Controlled Blasting Plans have been designed by a Specialty Blasting Consulting Expert. The Blasting Plans have been approved by FDNY Explosives Unit. FDNY Explosives Unit permits, supervises & monitors all blasting work. The allowable vibrations caused by controlled blasting have been set at levels that are lower than the standard for similar building types.

CONSTRUCTION LOOK AHEAD FOR 72 ND STREET STATION AREA for next 3 months Major Operations in the next three months: Continue Rock Excavation Building Demolition on the NW corner of 69th Street and NW corner of 72nd Street for excavation of Ancillary Structures I and 2. Continue support of excavation at Ancillary 2 (NW corner of 72nd Street)
