Our services in environmental compliance and biological resources not only help ensure that projects comply with environmental requirements and obtain environmental clearance, but they also promote sustainability and environmental responsibility. Geotechnical Engineering Geologic and Geotechnical Engineering From bridge foundations and new highway corridors to levees and landslide repairs, WRECO has extensive experience providing geotechnical engineering services for a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects throughout California. Our experienced professionals have provided design services for projects involving small and large bridge foundations, roadways, storm damage and landslides, levees, and geohazard identification and remediation. Our staff have an in-depth knowledge of Caltrans, FHWA, AASHTO, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers designs, processes, and procedures. Our past project experience allows us to come up with creative solutions that promote sustainability and project aesthetics while managing runoff in an efficient, cost-effective way. Our success in developing solutions to protect and enhance water quality is evidenced by our long-term client relationships and repeat business in this field. For example, WRECO has been providing on-call services to Caltrans District 4 for water quality and treatment best management practice (BMP) recommendations and design since 2002. Materials Testing and Inspection Laboratory and Field Inspection Services As an added convenience, WRECO s in-house, Caltrans-certified and AASHTO-accredited laboratory located in Roseville, CA, offers materials testing and inspection to complement our geotechnical engineering services. Our laboratory s procedures follow the current methods of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and Caltrans. We also participate in the biannual AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) proficiency sample program and the Caltrans reference sample program. WRECO is experienced in all phases of foundation and geostructural construction. We are available to provide field inspection support for a variety of foundation types, including spread footings, driven piles, cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles, and auger-cast piles. Our staff holds International Code Council (ICC) certifications for masonry and structural concrete, as well as Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Masonry Inspector.
