Geotechnical Engineering Geologic and Geotechnical Engineering From bridge foundations and new highway corridors to levees and landslide repairs, WRECO has extensive experience providing geotechnical engineering services for a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects throughout California. Materials Testing and Inspection Laboratory and Field Inspection Services As an added convenience, WRECO s in-house, Caltrans-certified and AASHTO-accredited laboratory located in Roseville, CA, offers materials testing and inspection to complement our geotechnical engineering services. Our laboratory s procedures follow the current methods of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and Caltrans. We also participate in the biannual AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) proficiency sample program and the Caltrans reference sample program. WRECO is experienced in all phases of foundation and geostructural construction. We are available to provide field inspection support for a variety of foundation types, including spread footings, driven piles, cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles, and auger-cast piles. Our staff holds International Code Council (ICC) certifications for masonry and structural concrete, as well as Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Masonry Inspector.
