Annualy delivers approx. 14,750 16,000 tons of spices and dehydrated ingredients to a range of of global customers. Turnover during 2016 was in excess of $127 million of which wich 55% was realized in in Europe, 20% in in Northern America, 5% in South Africa and 20% in the Asia/Pacific region. Distribution & Warehousing offers inventory services through a number of strategically located warehouses around the world. Just in time deliveries, flexible call-off schedules and vendor managed inventory services can be provided at customer s request. In case of unexpected adjustments in planning of input materials can offer solutions on short notice. On an average supplies well over 150 different grades and types. To ensure that our finished products are free of foreign material all products processed by are cleaned and graded by using various types of cleaning equipment such as de-stoners, aspirators, spirals, magnets, sieves. In addition our plants are equipped with Ventilex and Revtech built steam sterilization equipment with an aggregate capacity of up to 5 tons per hour. This is complemented by a number of different types of mills, including cryogenic, blending and metal detection equipment, which all together facilitates a combined processing capacity of around 25,000 tons of homogenized finished products. 3
Typical grades that can be produced are: Fine grind Coarse ground Cracked 150 to 600 micron (60-34 mesh) 600 to 1000 micron (30-18 mesh) 1000 to 2400 micron (8-12 mesh), half berries Packaging types can supply any size of packaging. Typically a product is packed in 25 kg bags, 625 kg bulk bags or 50 lbs carton boxes. Especially for preventing loss of volatile oil during transport and storage a new type of bag was developed. This 600 saves to 1000 between micron 41% (30-18 and 53% mesh) depending on type of product. India A total of 630 farmers are working within the India NFPP programme divided over nearly 40 villages. More than 4400 hectares under cultivation. Team of agronomists interacts with farmer groups in villages. Pest and weather monitoring station for data build up was installed. Research plots for testing application of crop protection chemicals have been set up. IT technology introduced to turn farms into Smart Farms enabling better farm management and traceability. Sustainable Cumin Farmer linkages have been developed in 34 villages in Rajasthan. Cumin programme was scaled up by 400% in three years of time covering 4400 hectares. Total output during 2016 was 1200 tons expected to increase to 1500 tons in 2017. Sustainable supplier status achieved for Unilever Sustainable Agriculture Code (USAC). Most of output meets EU and USA criteria for pesticides and allergens. Farmers save money by selling their product in the village instead of having to transport further. The farms in our NFPP programme are small farms with an average of about 1-2 HA per household.
