ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW Modo is a true British Columbia success story. Started in Vancouver s West End in 1997 with two cars and 16 members, Modo now shares over 450 vehicles among 15,000 members and business drivers in the Lower Mainland and Victoria. Modo operates as a member-owned co-operative, with a mandate to serve the needs of its members, not maximize profits. Working with consumers, businesses, municipalities, and property developers, Modo strives to increase the liveability of the communities in which it operates through innovative shared transportation solutions, with a goal to reduce dependency on privately owned vehicles. Modo is sought-after by consumers for its convenience, high quality vehicles and attractive pricing. Modo has an enviable reputation for its excellent service and the convenience, quality and affordability of its carsharing programs. It has developed a strong, loyal base of business and retail members and is well-positioned for significant growth over the long term horizon. Modo consistently receives very high satisfaction ratings from members. Long gone is the company s original name (the Co-operative Auto Network) and tattered log books; replaced by sophisticated technology and mobile apps. In spite of all the change in nearly 20 years of existence, Modo s organic roots and commitment to all things local remain. Modo was the first carshare co-op in the world and the first of its kind in Vancouver. Modo. A true Vancouver original. For additional information about Modo, please visit www.modo.coop Modo members have access to a diverse fleet which includes hybrids, minivans, pickup trucks, cargo vans and conventional sedans. 1 in 6 of Modo s fleet is fully electric or hybrid. As a member-owned co-op, Modo began with a goal to provide its members with great service and best value. Nearly two decades later with more carshare operators to choose from Modo remains the only one that is member-owned. Not bad for a little co-op with big dreams.
