Position Description Job Title: Facilities Manager Designation: Permanent XXX Time Work Unit: Alice Springs Airport Responsible to: Commercial Manager Position number: A4620 Staff Supervised: 0 Role Purpose: Provide support and assistance to the Commercial and Airfield Manager for Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports through optimising the Property & Terminal and Airfield facilities by effectively managing all facilities and works including safety, administrative, planning, project management, resources co-ordination and operational procedures/processes to meet/exceed customer service and regulatory standards, key business outcomes and budgets. To manage contractors performance, standards, payments (including validation of charges) and adherence to safe work practices. Ensure safety and regulatory compliance is a focus of the staff and standards across the business. Also: Provide motivation, guidance and coaching to employees and reinforce high standards with regard to performance, safety, customer service and adherence to company values Support the ongoing commercial viability of the business by contributing to effective annual business plans and consequently the management of costs, revenues and suppliers. of tender specifications and costings Achieve or exceed all financial and business targets Ensure all contractors comply with site rules and have completed the appropriate inductions, security passes, etc. Ensure all tasks are completed with best practice building practices (i.e. MSDS) Issue permits (hot; confirmed space; etc) for all work on airport land Develop a registration for all contractors working on airport land Ensure all standards (e.g. regulatory, infrastructure, environmental, heritage) are maintained in all developments Ensure all facilities meet or exceed all customer expectations with regards to presentation and reliability Provide assistance for all airfield events (incidents; emergencies; diversions)implement, review and monitor reporting etc Standard Operating Procedures created for tasks Performance measured and reviewed. Projects managed successfully. Assist with developing longterm cyclic maintenance / replacement programs for major assets. Assist with Maintaining and Plans and budgets in alignment with business strategic direction Measure and monitor planned versus actual business results taking proactive action to ensure targets are met / exceeded Identify new business opportunities and assist with conducting evaluations to assess potential. All relevant tender processes managed effectively Plan and coordinate the management of the terminal facilities to ensure that the terminal asset and customer service levels are effectively maintained Actively manage costs, revenues and suppliers Efficient management of systems, assets and ensure processes designed to achieve the standards required Maintaining standards and keeping vigilant as to Terminal and Property conditions Being actively involved with any airfield events (incidents; emergencies; diversions; etc) Develop effective long- term resource plans (time, cost, staff etc.) and assist with the implementation of these plans. Provide ideas and solutions to enhance cost improvements, productivity, process and revenue performance of the business. Ensure standard operating procedures are implemented, maintained and followed correctly. Measure and review the performance of SOPs and recommend and implement improvements as required. Champion H&S compliance & proactively identify areas of risk. Put in place preventative measures. Discipline staff if H&S breaches occur. Prepare accurate incident reporting & ensure information is passed on to the appropriate person.
