The modern design assures a complete visibility of the whole packaging process as well as full accessibility for the operator. Downtimes are reduced to a minimum, thanks to easy cleaning operations and fast and simple changeovers. Moreover, the consolidated technology has a low impact on the maintenance costs. C40 HEATING AND FORMING STATION The forming area is designed for both thermoforming and cold forming materials and the combination of advanced heating system and forming process grants a uniform thickness of the film. The stations are completely accessible for maintenance and do not have any cables or piping in sight. FEEDING AREA With its clean-finish balcony construction and all mechanical parts contained within the machine, the feeding area has been designed for very fast cleaning operations without the risk of cross-contamination. FILLING CONTROL SYSTEM IMA is using its own vision system camera, integrated in the machine interface. Product presence inspection and colour shape and integrity control are among its main functions. Product learning can be done for any product and can be saved for the next batches.

SEALING STATION IMA Safe s continuous roller sealing grants the best performance and sealing quality thanks to the constant check of temperature. CODING AND PERFORATION STATION Blister coding can be done by embossing unit, inkjet system, laser or inline printer. Any kind of perforation is possible, i.e. cross, longitudinal and vertical. CUTTING UNIT Easy handling and fast change over are the outstanding features. Moreover, the blister transfer from the cutting station to the cartoner is always guided and visible. THE PHILOSOPHY OF IMA MACHINES IS THE ROTARY SEALING, THE UNIQUE AND RELIABLE SOLUTION FOR HIGH BLISTER QUALITY FOR OVER 50 YEARS. ADVANCED HMI The operator interface has been designed to fully meet operator requirements. A computer touch screen, with 16:9 colour monitor and graphical user interface, enables easy and intuitive management of the machine s production and status. The computerised system manages the filling control, bar code reader, OCV, and OCR which are completely integrated into the single HMI. Production data, parameters settings and records are in compliance with 21CFR. Production data and statistics, including changeover instructions, maintenance and manuals can also be obtained through the HMI. Moreover, the reconciliation of production data to facilitate production batch closing is possible from the machine interface.

C40 CONNECTION TO CARTONER A COMPACT AND RELIABLE CONNECTION BETWEEN BLISTER MACHINE AND CARTONER WHILST RETAINING COMPLETE ACCESSIBILITY. The positive transfer from the cutting die to the blister magazine is always guided and visible, simplifying at most the intervention in case of jam. The correct position of the blister is controlled mechanically and kept by suction cups. AN ACCURATE COUNT ABLE TO HANDLE HIGH BLISTER STACKS. Quick settings allow to change blister stackings in one touch directly from the machine HMI.

A86 CONTINUOUS CARTONER CARTON WITHDRAWAL AND OPENING Withdrawal, opening and positioning of the carton are patented by IMA.. The systems handles any kind of cartons, including braille coded and recycled paper. PRODUCT AND LEAFLET INTRODUCTION The efficiency of a cartoning machine depends on how well the feed capacity and transport introduction system can transfer the blisters into the carton without causing any damage. Blisters enter the carton continuously thanks to series of pushers that gently transfer product and leaflet. TUCK-IN, GLUE OR SPECIAL CLOSURES: ALL COMMON CLOSURES CAN BE IMPLEMENTED ON OUR CARTONERS. CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON DEMAND.

A83 INTERMITTENT CARTONER ERGONOMIC, FLEXIBLE, SIMPLE TO USE, QUICK AND EASY TOOL-FREE SIZE CHANGEOVER. PRODUCT AND LEAFLET INTRODUCTION An insertion device consisting of an upper blade and a feeding hopper ensures both blister and leaflet (folded in a variety of ways) are precisely inserted at the best angle, as they are accompanied by the blade to the end of the carton, ensuring then full productivity even with very delicate products such as cross-perforated or Alu-Alu blisters. Compact balcony construction and clean design, ensuring great accessibility, complete view of all parts and enabling installation in a small production space. Many patent solutions have been applied to make A83 Series flexible and performing at the same time.

ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT All kind of leaflet folders can be installed for flat, prefolded and leaflets from reel. Cartoning machines are designed to grant a perfect integration with a unique IMA booklet feeder which does not need size parts.
