The Eagle Mountain Woodfibe Gas Pipeline Poject FotisBC is cuently woking to detemine the best option to expand a potion of its existing natual gas tansmission system to seve a poposed small scale LNG expot facility at the fome Woodfibe mill site just outside of Squamish. To povide sevice to the poposed Woodfibe LNG facility, FotisBC will need to constuct a 52 km pipeline expansion beginning in noth Coqitlam and ending at the Woodfibe site. The poject will equie upgades to FotisBC s existing compesso stations at Eagle Mountain in Coquitlam and at Pot Mellon. A new compesso station is equied in o nea Squamish.

Pipeline expansion details The gas pipeline expansion will equie appoximately 52 km of 24-inch diamete pipeline beginning in noth Coquitlam (at the noth end of the Coquitlam wateshed) and ending appoximately 11 km west of Squamish site. Geneally, the expansion will follow the at the fome Woodfibe Mill Gaibaldi existing gas pipeline oute. 99 Tantalus FRASER ALLEY SQAMISH Backendale Eagles Mam q uam i v e R SKWELWIL'EM SQAMISH ESTARY mu Stawamus Chief Potected Aea Shannon Falls Woodfibe Bennan s s ve Ri Squamish Habou wa Heniette Stawamus Chief S ta Sylvia Muin St topia iv e Sey mo u R Fannin Rolf Coquitlam Mount Seymou Am NORTH AN (DISTRICT) WEST ANCOER Apodaca BELCARRA Buad Inlet ogia PORT MOODY NORTH AN (CITY) ANCOER eek C n Elsay Capilano Dick Banes Indian Am Ind ian Cha t Seymou Buwell Palisade Conett s Cypess 1 y C eek B nnel u Cha Mont ag nel Kennedy est GREATER ANCOER Little Capilano Disappointment Rive Enchantment Anne n India lot te C han Qu een ve Ri Fo ek e C Noton nd a o H ix Macklin LIONS BAY owen Island ogical Reseve Wane Ochid Ceek Lynn on Pinecone Buke Rive Deeks s nel han N ISLAND an Poteau Cove ano p il Ca C lies mil Ra Killaney se Ceek Boi i nd Beth Halkett Bay I Loch Lomond eek Novembe Claion Rive Ome y C Fu SQAMISH-LILLOOET am u s aw Bitannia Ceek Pinecone C eek Woodfibe Riv e Hi xo n Squamis h Taquat s ve Ri Poposed Squamish Compesso Station Sko um k o tt Pi Ceek Ri ng eek C Buntzen ANMORE Cypess Sasamat Pinecone Buke Existing Eagle Mountain BRNABY Compesso Station 7 COQITLAM RICHMOND 123 15'0"W (14-078.02 5/2014) 1 123 0'0"W NEW WEST 7 7B 122 45'0"W

Eagle Mountain compesso station The existing FotisBC Eagle Mountain compesso station in Coquitlam cuently opeates with thee gas-poweed tubines, poducing appoximately 21,000 hosepowe to compess natual gas. The poject equies the addition of two moe compessos which will add about 35,000 hosepowe. The new compessos will likely be diven by electicity. This station would likely opeate with electic compessos. FotisBC is cuently assessing the aea to detemine the best location fo a compesso station. Pot Mellon compesso station The Pot Mellon compesso station on the Sunshine Coast cuently uses one gas-poweed tubine, which poduces appoximately 7,000 hosepowe to compess natual gas. The poject will equie an additional tubine which will shae the 7,000 hosepowe load. This ensues that the facility will povide eliable sevice fo yeas to come duing all possible opeating conditions.

Potecting the Squamish Estuay At FotisBC, we ae esponsible in all ou opeations and diligently mitigate impact to the envionment. FotisBC poposes the use of hoizontal diectional dilling technology (HDD) to install a segment of the pipeline though the Estuay. HDD means that the pipe would be installed by dilling undeneath the estuay, minimizing any impacts to the suface.

Ensuing we minimize constuction impacts Gas line planning is a multi-step pocess that begins yeas in advance of actual constuction. Duing the planning phase, we engage with local stakeholdes and conduct extensive field suveys to evaluate envionmental factos, development and local conditions. Duing constuction, we use special techniques to minimize disuptions, paticulaly aound envionmentally sensitive aeas. Hoizontal diectional dilling allows us to install gas lines without having to dig a tench.

Committed to well-potected infastuctue Ou dedicated and highly tained employees wok to ensue that ou pipelines and suounding aeas ae well-potected. FotisBC has an integity management plan the main tool we use to ensue the integity of ou tansmission and distibution systems. This plan is a compehensive and systematic way to povide effective detection and emediation activities, and is eviewed on a egula basis to ensue continued public safety.

Fist Nations Developing mutually-beneficial woking elationships with Fist Nations is impotant to us. ndestanding, espect, open communication and tust continue to be ou aim when woking with Fist Nations goups thoughout the povince. Ou team membes ae actively involved with the following local Fist Nations: Squamish Nation Tsleil-Watuth Nation Kwikwetlem Fist Nation Musqueam Fist Nation

Local benefits If the poject poceeds, it will povide benefits to existing FotisBC customes, tax evenues to the Regional Distict and Distict of Squamish and local, egional and Povincial benefits though the povision of labou, equipment, goods and sevices duing constuction and opeations. It is cuently estimated that the poject could esult in up to: $75 million in jobs $100 million of goods and sevices to be povided in B.C.
