SUMMARY OF POSITION WITH GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES A new and exciting opportunity for the position Market Development Specialist Bard Peripheral Vascular (BPV) in Central Eastern Europe and Israel has arisen. Reporting to the Sales Manager of Central Eastern Europe & Israel, the successful candidate will be responsible for: Increasing sales revenue and market share within the assigned territory for Bard Peripheral Vascular by developing and driving related legacy and new products. Providing on-going field and clinical support to the end user customers, distributor partners and their sales teams Developing a high level of understanding of the Peripheral Vascular markets and providing the company with all relative information for the development of the product growth strategies ROLE Develop and implement a business plan to optimize sales, grow market penetration and share, and successfully maintain existing dealer business. Understand the impact the changing healthcare market will have on existing and new products; with special focus on core countries within the region (Israel, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia/Croatia, Baltics) Maintain knowledge of assigned Bard product portfolio and conduct regular product training to dealer s sales force and end-customers including establishing budget and executing training details Provide regular clinical support to end user customers on site: in the Cath Lab and/or Operating Room (OR) to drive product usage and adoption Develop expertise regarding Reimbursement and Market Access strategy for specific procedures and treatments with strong working relationships with Government Authorities, Healthcare Institutions, HTA Bodies Work closely with distributors to ensure all new and focus products are being developed and penetrate the market, in line with the company s annual business plan Work closely with EEMEA marketing teams to provide ongoing training and support to the Distributor s sales force Work closely with distributors to collect, analyze and deliver information on market trends and dynamics, reimbursement, current clinical practice, competition, pricing Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs). Plan, organize and conduct regional congresses, workshops and programs. Participate in successful new product launches in the region in conjunction with Marketing. Ensure all Bard available resources (marketing, clinical, educational, technical) are used effectively by distributors
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Preferably a University degree in science or commercial education EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will likely have extensive experience of practical sales in the medical device industry. Previous sales, marketing and clinical experience in the Medical Device business is prerequisite, ideally in the field of Interventional Radiology Fluent in English both oral and written Good communication skills and business manners Ability to work in a target and performance oriented manner Good knowledge of business management Analytical and conceptual skills, Independence/personal responsibility/team player Good computer skills (MS-Office etc.) Need to be able to travel more than 50% of the time
