PERI allows Saudi Arabian stock exchange to climb The King Abdullah Financial District, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Schalung Gerüst Engineering Rudolf-Diesel-Straße 89264 Weißenhorn Deutschland Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-0 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-0 Apart from being the capital, Riyadh is the economic as well as cultural heart of Saudi Arabia. The King Abdullah Financial District, currently being developed to the north of the city centre, will become the financial hub of the kingdom. For the cores of a number of high-rise buildings in this district, PERI climbing formwork is being used. With a system combination comprising of ACS self-climbing and RCS rail climbing technologies, the optimal solution to meet project-specific requirements was created. The planning took into consideration the varying storey heights, upward tapering walls and a particularly short construction period. The site management is extremely satisfied with the well thought-out systems along with their systematic and simple application. Climbing technology for reinforced concrete cores In close co-operation with PERI engineers in Jeddah (Saudi-Arabia), PERI Weissenhorn developed climbing formwork solutions for five reinforced cores in four multi-storey buildings. The concept is based on two climbing systems which have been adapted to meet the geometrical and static boundary conditions of the structures as well as the requirements of the contractor. For the core of the highest building an office tower with a total height of around 150 metres the ACS self climbing formwork is being used. With its 85 metres, a second office tower is lower and is therefore being constructed with the RCS Rail Climbing System. This modular construction system has also been selected for the three cores of the two residential towers which will eventually rise to heights of 100 and 70 metres respectively. The standard individual storey height in the Seite 1 von 6 Kontakt: PERI Redaktion Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-1180 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-1180 redaktion@peri.de www.peri.de

office buildings is about 4.00 metres whilst the residential towers have 3.40 metres. All the formwork scaffolding is combined with VARIO GT 24 girder wall formwork which can easily be adapted to the different storey heights as well as wall breaks without any problems. The cores of the two highest towers are climbed with hydraulic support; for the two other buildings, the climbing formwork is lifted from floor to floor by means of a crane. Schalung Gerüst Engineering Rudolf-Diesel-Straße 89264 Weißenhorn Deutschland Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-0 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-0 System combination for fast construction progress For the 150-metre high office block, ACS self-climbing formwork is being used. The rail-guided self-climbing formwork scaffolding, complete with strongbacks and formwork carriages, will require a total of 40 climbing cycles before reaching the top of the reinforced concrete core. The climbing rail is climbed in advance, is then secured automatically in the climbing shoe and carries the system during climbing operations. The control mechanism and mechanics of the ACS system are robust and reliable. For all the other building cores, RCS rail climbing technology is being used. The modular construction system can be used for a wide range of applications in climbing technology which means that the use of special parts is reduced to a minimum. In Riyadh, the RCS is used as formwork scaffolding. The VARIO GT 24 girder wall formwork is securely mounted on a formwork carriage and can be retracted for reinforcement work by up to 90 centimetres without requiring a crane. For supporting the formwork on the carriage, SRU steel walers and SLS spindles are installed and used as strongbacks and adjustable struts respectively. Thus, complete units can be easily and quickly moved in one crane lift. With the climbing rail, the scaffold unit is always connected to the building throughout the entire climbing procedure by the climbing shoes. During strong winds, the RCS climbing unit is kept in a very stable Seite 2 von 6 Kontakt: PERI Redaktion Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-1180 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-1180 redaktion@peri.de www.peri.de

position and cannot drift from side to side which means climbing is fast and safe at all times. The RCS system also offers a shaft solution for the inner walls which is used for those cores with large dimensions. Here, the RCS climbing rail serves as a platform beam. The rails can be continuously telescoped which means the lengths of two beams positioned opposite each other are able to be easily adjusted to suit the shaft dimensions and subsequently connected to a working platform. Schalung Gerüst Engineering Rudolf-Diesel-Straße 89264 Weißenhorn Deutschland Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-0 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-0 Overall concept for a short construction period Apart from the formwork systems for the reinforced concrete cores, PERI is also supplying the slab formwork including required support. Around 10,000 square metres of SKYDECK aluminium panel slab formwork is being used which can be quickly and easily installed due to its lightweight individual components. In particular, the systematic and virtually self-explanatory shuttering procedure has proved to have been a tremendous advantage according to the site management: these easy to install systems help the building contractor enormously to realise and maintain the very tight construction schedule despite the lack of available skilled workers. In addition, due to the possibility of early striking thanks to the drophead, material utilisation is accelerated and on-site material requirements are reduced. MULTIPROP props carry the slab formwork of the standard floors. For the larger ceiling heights in the ground floors, two props are coupled together and connected with MRK frames to form high load-bearing supporting towers. Development of the formwork solution took place within a very short space of time due to the very tight schedule: in the early summer of this year, only a few weeks after starting the planning, the first system Seite 3 von 6 Kontakt: PERI Redaktion Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-1180 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-1180 redaktion@peri.de www.peri.de

components were delivered to the construction site. With this, PERI GmbH made an extremely convincing and impressive case in the Kingdom on the Arabian Peninsula completely in keeping with its maxim: safer, easier, faster. Schalung Gerüst Engineering Rudolf-Diesel-Straße 89264 Weißenhorn Deutschland Tel.: +49 (0)7309.950-0 Fax: +49 (0)7309.951-0 The King Abdullah Financial District Work began on the "King Abdullah Financial District" in Riyadh at the beginning of 2007 and offers floor space of some 3.3 million square metres. Around 55,000 jobs are expected to be created as well as highquality residential buildings and leisure facilities on an area covering in the region of 16 hectares. In addition, the concept of the new city district includes a monorail and giant skywalks large bridges in the sky linking multi-storey buildings in order to optimize the quality of living and minimize the use of cars. The financial district will be the headquarters of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the Saudi Arabian Stock Exchange (Tadawul), and will also be the home for financial institutions and other service providers such as accountants, auditors, lawyers, analysts, rating agencies, consultants, and IT providers. The area will also have a financial academy with places for 5,000 students. The Financial District project should be completed in 2012 after a construction period of only three years. With this project, Saudi Arabia would like to strengthen its position as the financial capital of the Middle East. PERI at bauma 2010 Best possible service for the customer Innovative products and a comprehensive range of services for efficient construction Phone +49(0)7309.950-0 At the bauma 2010 trade fair in Munich, PERI is presenting an impressive exhibition of its extensive product range for formwork and scaffolding projects. The Weissenhorn-based company not only convinces the specialist visitors with live demonstrations of its system equipment on an area of 4.200 m². With professional and informative presentations on its technical, commercial and logistical services, PERI further highlights which services increase the cost-effectiveness and efficiency for the execution of construction projects. Best service for the customer PERI has been a reliable partner to the industry for over 40 years. The international experience along with high innovative strength of the company and over 5,000 employees worldwide ensure the best support is available for customers during the execution of building work - for each and every project, regardless of which size. Countless successfully implemented formwork and scaffolding solutions for international projects are proof of the expertise available. Some these references are featured in the PERI Handbook which, once again, has been re-vamped for the bauma. The PERI Handbook is a useful reference work for building contractors and, apart from international formwork and scaffolding solutions, contains excerpts from the product programme and thus provides numerous valuable suggestions for all construction companies. PERI also uses the bauma trade show in order to present a range of new systems as well as supplements and improvements made to existing system equipment to the specialist audience. There are new Page 1 of 3

developments for virtually all fields of application - from residential construction through to the realisation of large bridges. Focus on PERI services In addition to the broad range of formwork and scaffolding systems, PERI has also developed a number of practice-oriented services which have been designed to support construction personnel by increasing the efficiency in carrying out their project tasks. As a result, for the first time in the purpose-built PERI exhibition hall, there was also a special presentation area set aside for the technical, commercial and logistical services. PERI experts from the individual specialist departments graphically showed the knowledgeable crowds of visitors which contribution the individual services can offer to ensure the increase in economic efficiency during the execution of construction work. Phone +49(0)7309.950-0 PERI offers a comprehensive range of technical services such as 3D planning. It used for simulating construction progress along with explaining complex technical solutions. Photo-realistic illustrations in drawings, three-dimensional visualisations and moving pictures substantially facilitate the graphicness and make the required project task understandable. PERI 3D-Planung thereby also increases calculation reliability for the building contractor. Furthermore, the company is using the FFC Engineering (Force Flow Controlled Engineering) service for the first time. This PERI service stands for force flow controlled shoring planning with optimal levels of utilisation. In addition, together with a German Authority (LGA Bayern, Prüfamt für Standsicherheit Nürnberg), PERI is developing a new testing concept: a test program confirms the conformity with type-tested guidelines for individual proof of stability. This results in reduced material and assembly costs with further customer benefits to be found in planning and cost stability as well as flexibility. Page 2 of 3

PERI also supports its customers with different commercial services. With large-scale projects, for example, the site management team can be supported by an efficient formwork project management system. Project-related, comprehensible methods of payments and transparent information for controlling the use of materials together with construction site reports serve to ease the workload of the site management. Phone +49(0)7309.950-0 From the range of its logistical services, PERI presented those from the rental park and distribution at bauma 2010. Thus, the IT-network with forwarding agencies ensures a continuous stream of essential information is always available. In addition, the numerous logistics centers worldwide provide cleaning and repair services for PERI s customers own formwork - with optimal equipment and well-trained personnel, the original state of the formwork systems is re-created. Photo 1 FFC Engineering is an example for the extensive range of services provided by PERI: the force flow controlled shoring planning results in optimally used scaffold constructions and thus optimised material utilisation and labour costs. PERI PEP Ergo The new generation of slab props High load-bearing capacity with low self-weight The PERI PEP Ergo is characterised by an again increased load-bearing capacity with lower self-weight. The props have been designed following the European standard and with many specific detailed solutions. Bearing high loads and particularly fast in its application The capacity factor defined as the ratio of load-bearing capacity to self-weight is up to 70% higher than the values of comparable slab props. Therefore the number of props required can be accordingly lower. A large adjustment range of 12 cm and the proven, integrated measuring scale accelerate the work at the jobsite. The logistical handling has been improved due to the length stampings at the head and base plates. Thanks to the marking which is visible at any time, the props can be identified quickly and easily. Also the adjusting nut has been improved once again. The shape of the lowering nut determines the direction of the load lowering and makes sure that material is lowered smoothly even under maximum load. Long product life and repairability All surfaces of the PEP Ergo are completely galvanised; this ensures a long product life. Furthermore, with the new cotter pin, defective inner and outer tubes can easily be exchanged, so for the first time the props can be repaired. Page 1 of 2

Photo 1 The PEP Ergo B-300 carries a maximum of 30 kn and only weighs 13.7 kg. (Photo: ) Photo 2 The length marking of the PEP Ergo props is clearly legible even inside the stacking pallets. (Photo: ) Photo 3 The adjusting nut has distinctive hammer stroke areas, its shape determines the hammering direction for the lowering activity. (Photo: ) Page 2 of 2

PERI MAXIMO The panel formwork with the MX tie engineering to be handled from one side Proven at the jobsite and with improved details Presented for the first time at the bauma 2007, MAXIMO in the mean time has been able to prove its efficiency on jobsites in many countries. The one-sided anchoring with the MX tie without spacer tubes reduces the required work steps considerably compared to traditional panel formwork and thus shortens the shuttering time enormously. The systematically arranged and reduced number of tie points also reduces the amount of time and effort. Another advantage is the structured joint and tie pattern which creates an improved concrete finish. Well-engineered details such as the recessed tie points on all elements offer clear advantages for manifold uses. Thus the forming of foundations for example requires much less working space and the possibly necessary use of metal water stops is no longer an interruption when installing the ties. Due to the single-sided installation of the ties, additional safety installations such as working scaffold on the placing formwork become superfluous, whose assembly, particularly on high formwork, is normally associated with considerable expense and effort. PERI MAXIMO allows the user to meet the many different requirements of daily construction site operations in guaranteed high quality and, at the same time, cost-effectively from foundations, parapets and singlefamily house cellars through to high walls with multiple panel extensions or on brackets which are climbed for complex large-scale projects. Page 1 of 3

NEW: Supplementary elements The MXP Platform Sealing systems In the meantime, PERI has extended the MAXIMO system. Panels with a 3.30 m system height as well as new, practical corner solutions are now available. Other system components such as the MX stacking device and MX stacking aid simplify transportation as well as storage of the panels. For the forming of foundations, parapets and beams, the use of the new tension and compression brace is an advantage because, in connection with the centrically arranged tie, a bottom row of ties is then not required. In addition, the platform MXP provides a fast pre-assembled system with which all necessary work on the formwork can be carried out from a safe and secure working platform. This significantly increases safety for the site personnel. Furthermore, for closing any remaining tie holes in the concrete wall a cost-intensive and frequently unsatisfactory working step PERI also offers a solution: there is a wide range of sealing systems available to cover almost all requirements, from quickly mountable MX screw-in cones through to concrete cones whereby architectural concrete requirements are also fulfilled. Page 2 of 3

Photo 1 As the ties have to be installed from one side only, additional safety installations such as work scaffolding on the placing platform can be saved. This is of particular importance for high formwork. (Photo: ) Photo 2 The new MXP platform offers a safe working platform on the panel formwork. (Photo: ) Photo 3 The structured joint and tie pattern makes it possible to create a high-class concrete finish. (Photo: ) Page 3 of 3

PERI LIWA The light panel formwork Simple and fast forming without a crane LIWA is a new, particularly light type of panel formwork. It can be used wherever there are only limited crane capacities available or where all work has to be carried out manually. Low number of elements for simple and quick solutions There are for different element heights (3.00 m, 2.50 m, 1.50 m and 0.75 m) available for LIWA panel formwork, and these in five elements widths each (0.75 m, 0.60 m, 0.50 m, 0.40 m and 0.25 m). With these elements, walls and foundations of thicknesses from 15 cm to 40 cm can be brought in form. The low number of different elements makes material planning very fast, and storing at the building yard or on the jobsite becomes much easier. Flexible options of application Corner areas are closed with special elements with LIWA, the low weight makes it also possible to use it as lateral formwork for beams. For length filling up to 5 cm, the LIWA compensation coupler is used, up to 25 cm can be bridged with the Compensation Waler 60. For the adjustment of different wall thicknesses, the LIWA Wall Thickness Compensation is available. Each standard element at the same time is a multi-purpose element with perforated strip, this increases the range of applications. Therefore also columns with dimensions of 15 cm x 5 cm up to 60 cm x 60 cm can be formed in 5 cm increments. Page 1 of 2

Photo 1 LIWA is characterised by a low selfweight of about 35 kg/m². Even the 75-type element can be formed by hand. (Photo: ) Photo 2 Columns can also be formed with LIWA, the system is suitable for cross-sections with 15 cm up to 60 cm edge lengths in 5 cm increments. (Graphic: ) Photo 3 Manifold accessories such as scaffolding brackets, push-pull prop connections, lifting hooks and compensation waler supplement the system. (Graphic: ) Page 2 of 2

PERI MULTIFLEX Plus Established girder slab formwork supplemented Safety of MULTIFLEX increased The Flexclip turns the proven girder slab formwork into MULTIFLEX Plus: The clip secures the crossbeam of the formwork against tilting, thereby considerably increasing the safety of the formwork. Fewer supplementary components fast assembly Apart from the Flexclip, a setting tool and a calibre complete the MULTIFLEX Plus System. The girder slab formwork is formed as usual, and the Flexclip is then inserted from a safe position below. The setting tool available for this job can be telescoped, and the clips can be mounted quickly with it. With the use of the calibre, the distances between the crossbeams no longer have to be measured and thereby forming is accelerated. Photo 1 The forming aid has been supplemented by a calibre. The distance of the crossbeams is set on the calibre at the beginning; afterwards the girders can be measured quickly and accurately. (Photo: ) Page 1 of 2

Photo 2 The setting tool for the Flexclip helps to easily and quickly position the clips. The girder connection prevents the crossbeams from tilting and thereby increases the safety of the users of the girder slab formwork. (Photo: ) Photo 3 Depending on the requirements, either VT20 solid web girders or GT24 girders are used for the MULTIFLEX girder slab formwork. The Flexclip exists in three variations; thus it is available for all girder combinations. (Photo: ) Page 2 of 2

PERI VARIODECK The new steel waler slab table Faster forming of large slab areas The PERI VARIODECK steel waler slab table is the further development of the VT table module. By using the SRU steel waler (profile U 120) as main beam, high loads can be accepted and large parapets can be formed. Only four props for 15 m² of slab area VARIODECK is available in the lengths of 4.00 m and 6.00 m, with widths of 2.00 m (2.15 m girder length) and 2.50 m (2.65 m girder length) each. So 15 m² can be formed with one slab table. Due to the high load-bearing capacity of VARIODECK, it is possible to use slab thicknesses of up to 50 cm with only four slab props. For the compensation of filling areas the filler panel can be put on the extended secondary beam of 7.5 cm without any additional accessories, the possible filling area width can have a maximum of 50 cm. The new table swivel head The VARIODECK swivel head can be used with PEP props and MULTIPROP. Through the splitting of the head, the work sequence has been optimised. The lower parts of the swivel head can be mounted on the slab props beforehand; this simplifies and accelerates the forming process. When moving the slab tables, the props are simply folded down, the slab props can be swivelled in both directions. The head makes it also possible to assemble for example trapezoidal tables with timber formwork girders and SRU walers in different Page 1 of 3

combinations. The fastening of the slab props results in a very rigid connection and thus maximum load transfer. The optimal adjustment to structural and geometric requirements is also guaranteed: Here the swivel head can be shifted by ± 15 cm and moved from section to section. Refined details for fast and safe applications A stationary mounted edge protection prevents damage to the formlining edges, a stacking timber on the SRU steel waler makes fast and safe stacking of the pre-assembled elements possible. When using the tables at the slab edge, the working platform in already integrated in the system. When moving the tables from one storey to the next, lifting forks are available, and these remain always in a horizontal position on the crane thanks to an intelligent balancing mechanism. As an alternative, vertical transportation is also possible with the help of an extendable platform and RCS ML Material Lifter. A transportation carriage or table lift is used for the horizontal moving at slab level. The new VD beam system is connected to the slab tables for the forming of beams. This beam formwork comes off the concrete on all sides without further actions, this accelerates the striking process. Photo 1 Only four props are required for the forming with the VARIODECK slab table with steel walers, this corresponds to almost 4 m² of slab area per prop. You can also clearly see the integrated edge protection of the formlining. (Photo: ) Page 2 of 3

Photo 2 The new swivel head for the connection of the props makes it possible to swivel the slab prop in both directions. By splitting the head, the lower parts can be mounted on the slab props beforehand. (Photo: ) Photo 3 The guardrails are mounted at the edge of the slab with the SRU/SRZ guardrail holders and SGP guardrail posts. (Photo: ) Photo 4 Because of the low construction height of only 36 cm, the transportation and storage volume is low. 14 tables and thus more than 200 m² of slab formwork can be transported on only one truck. (Photo: ) Page 3 of 3

PERI UNO The new monoltihic housing formwork For monolithical construction With PERI UNO, walls, props, beams and slabs are concreted in one pour. The monolithic creation of the housing modules is mostly used for residential housing, where the same layout has to be reproduced in large numbers. UNO is a pure manual formwork, and that is why all elements, beams and stopend steel sheets are made of aluminium. Project-specific pre-assembly Fast utilisation on the jobsite The housing formwork is pre-assembled from single profiles with length adjustment completely according to the individual project requirements and geometries. There are UNO stopend steel sheets available for stop ends and recesses, which can be adjusted to the wall thickness in increments of 1 cm. For the work with UNO, a hammer will do, only for the installation of the ties a SW 19 wrench is needed. The formwork elements are connected with the UNO gib and cotter, the anchoring is performed with re-usable ties that are installed from one side only. Due to the conical shape of the ties, no spacer tubes or cones are necessary. The wall elements are fitted with an EPDM sealing profile on their footprint so that uneven ground can be levelled out. Simple and early striking Well-engineered couplings and mechanisms make early striking possible. The transition zones between vertical and horizontal formwork have been designed as being flexible, so that the striking process is simplified. Page 1 of 3

In the field, the slab formwork has also been fitted with a drophead so that early striking is possible. Thus the amounts on stock are minimised and construction processes are accelerated. Photo 1 The new PERI UNO is a monolithic housing formwork to concrete walls, props, beams and slabs in one pour. The formwork has been developed for buildings where the same layout has to be produced in high numbers (vertically or horizontally). (Photo: ) Photo 2 The UNO drophead makes striking possible already one day after concreting. (Photo: ) Page 2 of 3

PERI LPS Light Protection System Light-weight climbing system with lattice casing PERI LPS is a light-weight alternative to existing climbing formwork and casing systems. As a crane-climbing system, LPS represents an interesting alternative particularly for the construction of medium-height buildings. LPS is particularly light, flexible and can be adjusted easily also to complicated layouts. The close-meshed, telescopic panels offer high work safety and at the same time reduce the exposure to wind. Casing for high-rises in skeleton construction For skeleton-type buildings with open facades, LPS serves as a guardrail and it prevents objects from falling off the work platform. The slab shoes for anchoring protrude considerably and offer enough space for the stopend formwork of the slabs. Light-weight formwork scaffolding as climbing system for punctuated facades LPS is designed as a crane-climbing system for supporting light wall formwork systems such as DOMINO, LIWA and UNO during the construction of medium-height buildings with punctuated facades. The platforms can be enlarged and can be adjusted to the building with extendable cantilever beams. The close-meshed, telescopic panels offer safe working conditions on and below the platforms. RCS ML Material Lifter Lifting device for slab formwork Transportation over several storeys without crane The RCS ML Material Lifter is used for the crane-independent moving of PERI slab formwork. It can move material across several storeys. Economical and fast solution The separation of lifting bracket and extendable platform reduces the weight to be moved during assembly and climbing to 3.5 t. Climbing of the two lifting units is rail-guided with a crane or with the RCS self-climbing system. Two available types of superstructure offer a choice of the respectively most cost-efficient solution for the transportation of slab tables or panelised slab formwork. The irritating opening and closing of loading gates is no longer necessary. The load is lifted over the guardrail on the top slab. The extendable platform is not a must so that the first slabs can also be moved from the ground. Page 1 of 2

PERI ACS Core Self-Climbing Core Formwork Optimised operating sequence during climbing ACS Core is a new type of self-climbing formwork and has been especially developed for highrise cores. When striking, the inner formwork is just released with the new VARIO inner corner coupling it does not have to be moved back. Afterwards the formwork can be climbed without any other working step in between. The inwardly offset climbing device makes a time-wise optimal climbing sequence possible. With the ACS 100 self-climbing devices, even placing booms can be transported together with the platforms. Photo 1 The climbing sequence of the new ACS core formwork has been optimised; this speeds up the climbing process. (Photo: ) Page 1 of 1

PERI VARIOKIT for bridge construction Numerous new complete solutions Fields of applications considerably extended Deutschland PERI offers numerous new complete solutions for important fields of application in bridge construction. All new developments are extremely flexible thanks to core elements with multiple uses with only one standard connection. Due to the project-specific adjustment, the components are used optimally from a structural point of view, and this is resulting in an economical use of standard components. Since the standard components can also be hired, the most cost-effective and optimally adjusted formwork and scaffolding solution can be used for every individual project. The VARIOKIT Cantilevered Bracket The VARIOKIT cantilevered bracket is the economical solution for short bridge structures or long operating periods. The main focus during its development was on the weight optimisation: The heaviest part weighs only 18 kg, so the system can be assembled manually. Furthermore, the support for the formwork is completely separated from the decking girders, so that the decking is always closed. The cantilevered bracket has been designed for horizontal as well as vertical use. By simple re-plugging of the bolts, the brackets can be both mounted on the bottom part of the cantilevered arm and also on the abutment walls. The VARIOKIT Cantilevered Parapet Track The VARIOKIT cantilevered parapet track is used for the creation and refurbishment of cantilevered parapets at the edge of the bridge and between the superstructures. The system consists of the three components of rail, roller unit and anchoring. The rail is tied to the Page 1 of 4

bottom side of the bridge, the top side of the bridge remains freely accessible and unaffected. The system is moved as complete unit, roller units becoming available again are dismantled from the finishing platform and fastened again in the driving direction at the front from the advance platform. Deutschland The VARIOKIT Cantilevering construction and arch cantilevering construction PERI now also offers solutions for cantilevering construction. The arch cantilevering construction is a combination of heavy hollow box girders for the load transfer as well as VARIOKIT standard components for the creation of formwork, work scaffolding and platforms. The work steps of moving, aligning and adjusting are done completely hydraulically; this ensures the dimensional accuracy of the arch. New main frames have been developed for the VARIOKIT cantilevering construction device, which make it possible to level out the longitudinal and transverse gradients of the bridge without compensation timber. The VARIOKIT Heavy-duty Shoring Tower PERI has much experience in shoring construction and with the VARIOKIT heavy-duty shoring tower, the variety of solutions for the transfer of great loads has been further extended. With the tower, heights up to 40 m can be carried out with a high load-bearing capacity of a maximum of 240 tons. The standard tower with four legs has a distance between axes of 2.00 m x 2.00 m. Further assembly types are shoring tower frames, towers with additional frames and main beam frames. Page 2 of 4

(Photo: ) Deutschland Photo 2 The VARIOKIT cantilevered parapet track can be flexibly adjusted and can be used both for outer and central cantilevered parapets. (Photo: ) Photo 3 The VARIOKIT solution ensures highest dimensional accuracy for arch cantilevering construction. For this bridge, the dimensional deviations were some millimetres, the arch span was approx. 140 m. (Photo: ) Page 3 of 4

PERI UP Rosett Plus Shoring tower for high loads optimised Enlargement of the range of uses New components have been developed to enlarge the range of uses of PERI UP as shoring. With reinforced end standards, leg loads of more than 50 kn can be transferred. Spindling of a total of up to 1,700 mm makes the required height adjustment easier. Only few new single parts enable an increased load-bearing capacity and considerably enlarged spindle length.
