Pipe Cleaning High Pressured Water Jetting with Vacuum Applus+ Velosi cleaning trucks are a combined high pressure water jetter with vacuum. The jetter will remove all debris including sand, silt, roots, scale and grease from inside the pipelines. The vacuum will lift all these debris from the manholes into the waste tank. Adjustable water pressures and cleaning nozzles can be used that will be suitable for all pipes. 6 Pipeline Rehabilitation
CCTV Applus+ Velosi has a number of camera systems which range from 80 mm to 1600 mm pipe diameters. CCTV surveys determine the condition of the inside of the pipe, we also offer the following: 1. Pipe deflection (Ovality) 2. Internal pipe measurements 3. Lateral pipe connection measurements 4. Tilt surveys 5. Joint gap measurements All reports are coded to EN 13508 standard. Our operators and reporters are certified to MSCC4 (WRC). 8 Pipeline Rehabilitation
CIPP/GRP Lining Glass Reinforced Pipe, UV Technology A cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) is one of several trenchless rehabilitation methods used to repair existing pipelines. CIPP is a jointless, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe with the capability to rehabilitate pipes ranging in diameter from DN 100 to DN 1600. The process is carried out through the manholes, avoiding excavation and traffic congestion. There are several different materials and methods of curing, Applus+ Velosi are lining with glass reinforced liners which are cured using UV technology. The majority of pipes being rehabilitated using CIPP are sewer and drainage, these lines will have internal failings and infiltration problems. Once lined these pipes will be good for another 50 years. 10 Pipeline Rehabilitation
Patch Repair Localized Structural CIPP Repair The patch repair system provides a localized repair within an existing pipeline. It is quick to install and offers little disruption to property, services and traffic. The patch is installed through the manhole avoiding any excavation and replacement costs. 12 Pipeline Rehabilitation
Pipeline Robots Applus+ Velosi has several robots that were designed for rehabilitation works inside sewer pipes ranging from DN 100 to DN 1000. Various tool attachments permit the sewer robot to perform milling, grinding, filling and injection operations. Mainly obstacles such as misplaced pipe connections, roots, encrustations, concrete blockages and deposits, as well as opening laterals after patch repair and CIPP lining. 14 Pipeline Rehabilitation
Manhole Inspection and Rehabilitation Manholes are becoming increasingly in need of repairs due to infiltration and traffic pounding. Once the manhole inspection has been carried out a rehabilitation method can be chosen. The choices are as follows: 1. Cured-in-Place Liners 2. Cementitious Coatings/Grouts 3. Polymer Modified Coatings 16 Pipeline Rehabilitation
Pipe Bursting Pipe bursting and pipe splitting are trenchless methods used to replace existing pipelines in the same alignment without physically removing the existing pipeline. Bursting and splitting by using the existing alignment to replace a pipe avoids the need to secure additional right-of-way to install the replacement pipe. Bursting and splitting can be used to upsize the pipeline, increasing its flow capacity. Pipe bursting was initially developed in the 1980s to replace small diameter cast iron gas distribution lines, but has since grown in acceptance as an effective method for replacing pipelines diverse in size, material type, and functions. Pipe bursting is used to replace all pipes such as clay, concrete, steel and cast iron through the application of a static or pneumatic bursting head to fragment the existing pipe. Simultaneously, a new product pipe attached to the back of the bursting head is installed in the same alignment as the original pipe. 18 Pipeline Rehabilitation
Close Fit Lining Close fit lining is a term used to describe a range of techniques for renovating pipelines, in which the cross section of the liner is temporarily deformed before insertion into the carrier pipe. The liner is subsequently restored close to its original diameter, forming a close fit with the original pipe. The liner is deformed by either reducing its diameter or changing its shape. To do this the liner can either be passed through tapered dies, through rollers or be folded, either on site or in the factory. After insertion into the carrier pipe the liner is reverted, either by natural relaxation or through the application of steam or water under pressure. Each close fit lining system uses a different combination of deformation and reversion methods. The different types of close fit lining systems that are currently available are: Deformed Pipe Die drawing Rolldown 20 Pipeline Rehabilitation
