The Experts Sarah Arayess is a lawyer at Hoogenraad & Haak (law firm) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She specialises in food law, advertising law and intellectual property matters. Her activities range from advising to litigation. Christian Ballke is a partner of Meisterernst Rechtsanwälte (law firm) in Munich, Germany. He advises and represents his clients on food law matters and on issues of intellectual property law, especially trademark and unfair competition law. Isabelle Caelen has 13 years of experience in the food industry, acquiring thorough expertise in the regulatory area. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Zurich University, Switzerland. In parallel of her assignements within Nestle Nutrition for Infant and Young Children category, Isabelle is also vice-chairing the SNE Infant and Follow-on formulae Task force as well as the Cereals and Baby Foods Task Force. Phil Dalton is head of a team of consultants providing advice on food legislation with a particular focus on labelling and its substantiation through product lifecycle management systems. He has over 30 years of experience working with enforcement, retailers and manufacturers on control of health claims in the UK. Marion Gebhart is a certified food chemist who has been officially appointed and sworn in as an expert for food chemistry by the Munich Chamber of Commerce. Since 2004 she has been advising customers on the use of substances in food and consumer-orientated products at RDA Scientific Consultants. Joris Geelen started his career at the R&D department of Bayer CropScience. In 2008 he became the regulatory expert botanicals of the Belgian Ministry of Health and led the harmonisation project BELFRIT for Belgium. In 2015 he launched the consultancy firm Food Law Consult. Bernd Haber is a food chemist and with BASF since 2005. He held various positions in the food additives and ingredients industry. He is member of several international and national associations and scientific organisations. Andreas Kadi is Food Chemist and Founder of sraconsulting. He advises companies, associations and authorities in Europe and worldwide on scientific and regulatory aspects of food safety and information. He has over 20 years of experience in global FMCG companies including the efficacy and safety of functional ingredients, food labelling and claims. Barbara Klaus has detailed expertise and experience in the European and International law. The focus of her work lies in food, including food contact materials, and feed law matters, in the European Union and Member States; also on the laws governing pharmaceuticals, medicinal devices, cosmetics and consumer products in general. Peter Loosen has been Managing Director of the BLL since 2007. He became Head of the Brussels office in 2003. Besides counselling members he focuses on the representation of members interests to the European institutions. Moreover, he is visiting lecturer for food law at the University of Bonn. Aude Mahy (Counsel) heads up the Benelux Food & Beverages Team of Loyens & Loeff and is a member of the Litigation & Risk Management department with the Brussels office. She specialises in commercial law as well as in European and Belgian food law. Celia Martin is a regulatory expert with more than 15 years of experience in probiotics. She holds a PhD in Life Sciences & Food Engineering. After her thesis research conducted at the INRA Research Institute in France, she held various positions in scientific and regulatory affairs in the food industry prior to joining Lallemand in 2003. Andreas Meisterernst is Lawyer at Meisterernst Rechtsanwälte (law firm) in Munich, Germany. He is visiting lecturer at the Technical University of Munich as well as author and editor of a large number of publications. Florian Riedel works as Pharmacist at the Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) on Food Supplements and Novel Food. Jean Savigny is Managing Partner for Keller & Heckman s Brussels and Paris office. He has extensive experience in food and drug law as well as in regulatory affairs. He currently serves as General Counsel to an international food industry trade association and is a Vice President of the European Food Law Association (EFLA). Lara Skoblikov is a partner at Food Compliance Int. based in Brussels. She is working on a wide range of food regulatory and policy matters, with a special focus on dairy products, nutrition and health claims, novel foods, botanicals and GMO, as well as the application of general principles of EU regulations and national jurisdictions. Oliver Wolf has more than 16 years of experience in marketing and communication of collagen proteins. After his diploma in business administration with the focus on marketing he worked in the product management for an international cheese brand. At Gelita he is in charge of global events, public relation and brand communication.
