Vibration Analysis Category 1 Gain a solid understanding of the field of machinery vibration analysis. Excellent for beginners and as a refresher for vibration analysts.
Vibration Analysis Category 1 Dates: 08 Feb - 12 Feb 2016 14 Mar - 18 Mar 2016 27 Jun - 01 Jul 2016 05 Sept - 09 Sept 2016 Cost: R 19 660-00 This 5-day course is aimed specifically at Engineers and Maintenance Planners that are required to have a firm understanding of the subject as it influences their decisions-making. It covers the basics of vibration from first principles and has a strong emphasis on spectrum and timewaveform understanding. The attendee will leave this course with a solid understanding in the field of machinery vibration analysis. It is also an excellent course for beginners and vibration analysts that need a refresher to master the many complex concepts in vibration analysis. 7 Key Learnings: Complex vibration analysis concepts broken down into easy and manageable sessions of fundamental and elementary building blocks of understanding. Understand the limitations of parameter trending and learn how to overcome this by using the three main areas of the frequency spectrum, as well as time waveform and phase analysis. Differentiate between unbalance, soft-foot, bent shaft, shaft eccentricity, various forms of misalignment, and mechanical looseness. Important factors to know when analyzing rolling element bearing faults, and how to identify bearing defects without bearing information. Understand, recognize, prevent, and learn how to correct gear vibrations How to analyze the mechanical condition of rotating machinery, from pumps and fans to large gearboxes, turbine generators and compressors. Gain confidence from the many real case studies that illustrate how Condition Based Maintenance is used as a scientific tool to detect and predict failures. Vibration Analysis Category 1 2
