The Black Country LEP response Set up the Black Country Skills Factory (Jan 2013) (using GIF funding from UKCES) The Black Country Skills Factory: commenced as an employer- led pilot project (2013 2015) aiming to address the current skills shortfall in the High Value Manufacturing sector (HVM) in the Black Country for both large and small employers Key point : - Recruit credible Industry specialist to lead the project
