The role holder will provide specialist advice/guidance/challenge to internal stakeholders on administrative process and delivery. The role holder will co-ordinate and deliver all the service and information reporting (ad-hoc and scheduled) required across the function. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Administrative ownership and support for functional area: coordinates process, undertakes audits of process, ensures accuracy of, and reconciles data, identifies areas for improvement, analyses data, produces reports, undertakes trend analysis/forecasting, etc. Communicates written and verbally complex information and ideas to multidisciplinary stakeholders and is able to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues. Provides specialist advice to stakeholders on process and contributes to the continuous development of policy and process Champion specialist support processes and ensure that principles and processes are well established and adhered to. and business stakeholders Responsible for the transition of all services delivered to the client by Broadcast, Online and Enterprise System Uses and utilises Service Management and Test Management toolsets to record and glean data/information as a routine part of the role Acts as a point of contact for clients, and functions as a conduit into other expertise and resource within the BBC Service Transition team, the wider BBC Service Management team and wider ISOC Has an in-depth understanding of the client s business drivers, road-maps, processes, service user communities and organisational structure and can articulate this to the team Required to have a thorough understanding of how the clients business uses services at the coal face audience/end-user Able to direct stakeholder on how to obtain, use and feed back on the catalogue services Work closely with support groups, specialist and business stakeholders as required to agree operational acceptance criteria for complex releases Runs early engagement meetings, technical reviews, regular health checks, issue resolution and other meetings as required for stakeholders Provides feedback to Principal Service Transition Manager on the status of services in transition within their area of responsibility, and to what extent the services are operationally ready/ready For Support (RFS) Change management Management of the change lifecycle enabling changes to be completed whilst minimising disruption to Products and Services Own and manage the Change Advisory Board / Emergency Change Advisory Board ensuring correct levels of assessment, prioritisation and valid levels of authorisation are applied. Responsible for day to day change management activities; coordinating change schedule, assessing risk/impact/quality/dependencies, managing deployment issues, updating CI data, applying process and policy with a pragmatic balance of business risk vs. delivery Manages broadcast and other critical releases swiftly and with appropriate diligence, identify risk and escalating effectively where required Provide support, guidance and training as appropriate for users of the Change Management toolset and facilitating the flow of change through the system, highlighting non-compliance with process Prepare agenda and run Change Advisory Board (CAB), including the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC), release roadmaps, preparatory work and resulting outcome documentation Coordinate release communication and change activity for a given area of responsibility, applying flexible and pragmatic business-driven decisions making to determine priority and schedule Configuration Management Page 4 of 5
