Green office worker is more productive INDOOR office solutions

Vistula Group. EMPLOYEES ARE THE GREATEST VALUE OF ANY BUSINESS. IT IS THEIR PRODUCTIVITY AND WORK WHICH AFFECTS WHETHER THE COMPANY EARNS PROFITS. More and more employers realize that employees efficiency is more important than the costs for utilities and invests in moving to the area offering more comfortable working environment. Not without significance is also the economic factor the ability to reduce operating costs by up to dozens of percent. Office work can often cause some discomfort to health of employees. Long and improper seat behind the desk can adversely affect the spine, while continuing work on the computer can lead to decreased vision. This reduces the crew s productivity. Therefore, to take care of the condition of employees and provide them with optimal conditions for work, companies are moving to green offices.

The challenge. Vistula Group. Undoubtedly the most important for the proper functioning of each employee, his well-being and effectiveness of the duties, having access to natural light. The sun s rays stimulate and mobilize the body to work and make employees less sluggish. An example of an office building, which provides employees a level of comfort thanks to the access of natural light in almost 100% of the offered area is Alma Tower in Krakow. While in spring and summer during the day, the amount of artificial light plays with this type of objects smaller role, in the afternoons and evenings, and during autumn and winter, employees can t do without its support. Therefore, to prevent a decline in energy and motivation, the lighting inside the offices should be of good quality and optimally adapted to the space and the needs of users. In June of this year we moved from the old building localized in Kazimierz in Krakow to the office in Alma Tower implemented in line with the LEED certification says Marcin Rydz, Investment Director at Vistula Group, which owns such brands like Vistula, W.KRUK or Wolczanka. We wanted to increase the standards of working conditions for our employees and offer better comfort and prestige for our visiting customers.

The solution. Vistula Group. For Vistula Group an important factor in increasing the standards and working conditions is LED technology from GE Lighting. Half a year earlier, the company invested in similar energy-saving solutions in Vistula and W.KRUK lounges, where LED solutions played a very important part of building the atmosphere and presenting the collection. Its advantages has been appreciated by staff and visiting clients. In the case of the new office due to visits of partners and customers, new lighting is also an important decorative element. There are several advantages of LED lighting, which have the effect of increasing user s experience. Firstly, the owner can select the appropriate light intensity the luminous flux density at a given surface area and uniformity of light. In addition, it is important to install solutions that do not cause glare that tires eyes. Thirdly, color rendering index (RA) and color temperature are also significant. Color rendering index value in the technology installed in Vistula Group office is over 80. Thus, the colors of illuminated objects are more natural and the light they produce has a positive effect on well-being of people who work there explains Aneta Ciereszko, Regional Country Manager for Poland & the Baltics at GE Lighting. Due to the large glazed surfaces of Alma Tower office building, proposed solutions have a color temperature of 4000 Kelvin, thereby luminaires imitate daylight inside the office and there is not much dissonance between natural and artificial light.

For Vistula Group, the transition to LED lighting was also dictated by the possibility of reducing lighting bills by up to 35% compared to conventional light sources as well as guaranteed reliability and maintenance-free technology for at least five years. Therefore, the company decided that successively modernized and forming lounges will also be equipped with LED lights. Results and benefits. Vistula Group.
