The Gender Advisor will be responsible for coordinating with, and providing technical assistance to, the NIEC for mainstreaming gender in electoral processes; and for representing gender equality and women's empowerment issues at meetings with stakeholders such as, government, civic society, political parties, to help ensure delivery of the NIEC's mandate in Somalia. The Gender Advisor will play a critical role in supporting NIEC programs to promote gender equity and gender mainstreaming across all electoral administration related activities. The Gender Advisor provides input guidance and recommendations on all gender perspectives which requires a good grasp of NIEC programs and how gender matters can be integrated.
