TRACTION TESTS ON TUBE SAMPLES Samples of tubes taken from every batch are subjected to a destructive traction test to determine the effective mechanical characteristics of the welded tube. TESTS AND CONTROLS ON CUSTOMERS DEMAND Control of hardness values of the weld; pressure test of the tube (97/23/CE PED ), corrosion resistance tests and crushing tests. Any further test is to be agreed on previous demand. CERTIFICATES Our in-house laboratory issues a certificate for each batch, stating that the tube passed all standard tests, carried out according to standard regulations and to customers special requests.
Final production process tests Our products: high performance and reliability STANDARD TESTS AND DIMENSIONAL CONTROLS Dimensional controls on tube outside diameter, thickness, length and linearity. Visual controls on surface finishing. NON-DESTRUCTIVE WELDING CONTROLS Continuous controls with induced (or eddy) currents to reveal any defects in conformity with SEP 1914-1915 standard. WELD-BEAD SEAL TESTS Flaring tests on tube samples, performed off-line with a conical spindle driven by a 100-Ton hydraulic press. On demand, a crushing test can also be performed.
LABORATORY TESTS In our laboratory we carry out tests such as traction, hardness controls and micrographs. MATERIAL CONTROLS We check the chemical composition of all material arriving in our premises. SURFACE CONTROLS We can measure the surface roughness both on the inside and on the outside surface of welded tubes. CERTIFICATES Tubes Solutions is certified to ISO 9001 and TUV AD 2000 Merkblatt W 0 / TRD 100.
On-line test controls Certified quality NON DESTRUCTIVE-TESTS Non-destructive tests are carried out by eddy currents through induction coils to check the welding seam and through circular coils to check the entire tube section, as well. All tests are carried out by our staff, following EN and ASTM regulations and according to standard controls established by EN 10246-2:EN 10246-3 SEP 1925/SEP 1914. DESTRUCTIVE TESTS Destructive tests are carried out by crushing and flaring tube samples.
Laser process The perfect welding Normally the type of welding source influences the welding seam morphology and its own mechanical features. Tube Solutions laser process presents far greater advantages. The laser source produces an extremely narrow welding seam and allows a complete penetration into all our thickness range. This means very small thermic distortions and far better dimensional tolerances on the final diameter. This process assures the welding zone an extremely high resistance.
From coil to sizing Our production: accuracy and precision CPC Tube Solutions know-how and experience are based on constant progress and new technologies and are aimed at satisfying the most demanding expectations, for a great variety of uses. Thanks to our great expertise on stainless steel and our incomparable stock, we can select the raw material having the most suitable mechanical and surface features to avoid any thermic treatment of our final product. During our forming process sizing is obtained step by step, so as to produce a precision tube with dimensional tolerances much stricter than the normal standards in use. In addition, both our performing production lines and the use of raw material with specific features allow us to get the highest mechanical features on the tube. This makes any thermic treatment on the tube useless.
FOOD INDUSTRY The lowest roughness of the inside surface makes our tube especially suitable to use in food industry. HEAT EXCHANGERS Our tube can offer a very good cold formability and the highest precision on diameter, which are exactly the qualities required for the production of heat exchangers. STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS As far as structural applications are concerned, our tube assures both very good mechanical resistance and cold formability.
