Summary Basics Functional Locations Equipments BOM Bill of Material 2
Functional Locations Functional Locations are elements at a technical, organizational or territorial structure (e.q. functional unit of a line/plant) Management of individual maintenance data Maintenance activities at technical objects Documentation and verification of maintenance activities Collecting and analyze technical data Create commercial reports 3
Equipments Equipments are independent, technical economic goods to be maintained. The equipments form other levels below the functional location. The installation place arises from the binding to the functional location for an equipment. Equipments are technical objects or part of technical objects Equipments are maintained. Besides, a history is built up. Equipments are includes technical information In principle it is local-variable, because it can be attached on a functional location and be inserted again in another. 4
Asset Structure Development of hierarchical asset structure Using of administrative elements Asset Functional or site-related technical structure Information about customer, location, history Modul Equipment or functional location Information about customer, measuring document, warranty, service provider,... BOM List of spare parts, sorted by technology 5
Functional Location Transaction IL01 Create The Structure Key decides the structure. Each functional location was created top down by using simple inheritance. The structure is created automatically. Example: 1 Plant 2 Unit 3 Line or Building 4 Workplace or Floor 5 Room 6
Create Functional Location Complete data: - Catalog Profile - Partner - Cost Center -. Mark equipment installation on the level of Equipments may be inserted (normally lowest point) Mark this box if equipment installation allowed 7
Functional Location Transaction IH01 TP Structural Display Show the structure of technical objects. You can display installed equipments and BOM. 8
Functional Location Main used transaction for maintenance. From here you can create, maintain or view different objects: - Master data of functional locations, equipments, material - Create/view work orders and notification - View maintenance plans and task lists - Measurement Points 9

Chapter Equipments
Equipments Equipments are maintained objects Equipments are created if you have more then one equal technical objects and you can use these objects at different assets You can create maintenance plans for equipments The maintenance date includes all relevant data's from the equipment You can create work orders and notifications for equipments You can create technical and commercial reports for equipments 12
Equipments Transaction IE01 Create You can use for the creation of equipments the equipment category M. The equipment number to be create automatically. In relation to the category different views can be generated. 13
Equipments Important Data Equipment description, Object type categorize equipments for reporting Authorization Group are used for access control Start-up-date are required for technical reporting 14
Equipments Important Data Maintenance Plant for organizational allocation, Work Center for allocation of employee 15
Install Equipment About the structure the installation place can be change. The equipment in the TP structure are inserted. Also equipments can be inserted in equipments. If you uses the button installation m. Data transfer all data from the higher object (TP or EQUI) are taken over in the equipment to be inserted. This makes easier the capture of new equipments. Partner data are not copied! 16
Equipments If you need additional data for technical information or key parameters, then you can use the classification system to create the information fields. 17
Equipments You can create for equipments measuring points e.q. Operating hours. You can stored the captured measuring data at measuring documents. With the help of a regular capture of the measurement documents it is possible to install maintenance planning by operating hours or produced pieces. 18

Chapter BOM Bill of Material
BOM Bill of Material A BOM (maintenance part list) is an complete, formally built up list of all components which belong to a technical object. She contains the material numbers of the single components as well as her amount and the quantity unit. A BOM includes stock or non stock spare parts or assemblies which can be described in each case again with the help of maintenance assembly. 21
Maintenance Assembly Transaction MMP1 Maintenance Assembly We use assemblies not only for the display of unities but also as a place holder or collector to the display of the maintenance materials in the technical objects (TP, EQ). Previously assemblies are created to the relevant technical objects, with the name IHEL (maintenance electrical) or IHME (maintenance mechanics) and the text of the technical object at the description. 22
