Job Description Job Title: Salary Grade: Responsible to: Job Purpose: Responsible for: Location: Community Sports Coach Competitive, Dependent on qualification and experience Regional Manager and Regional Director To support the delivery of the Arsenal Soccer Schools participation program. See Contract and Code of conduct Play the Arsenal Way, Riviera International Conference Centre, Chestnut Avenue, Torquay, TQ2 5LZ Key Relationships: All stakeholders, Sports Centre s, Local Councils, Arsenal Football Club, schools, Governing Bodies, General Public Terms and Conditions: Hours of work: TBC Some degree of evening work and weekend work will be necessary. The employee may not without the prior written consent of the Regional Manager, which will not be unreasonably withheld, engage, whether directly or indirectly, in any other business or employment. Pension: There is no pension scheme applicable to the employment. There is no Contracting out Certificate in force relating to your employment by Arsenal Soccer Schools. Notice Period: One month. Car: Arsenal Soccer Schools do not provide for the use of a company car. Expenses: Arsenal Soccer Schools will reimburse for expenses incurred whilst performing the duties of the post. These include mileage allowance, hotel expenses and others, which are negotiable with Regional Manager and Director. Arsenal Soccer Schools must be provided with evidence of payment, (e.g. receipts), before reimbursement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include: To support the Area Coordinator Regional Manager and Director in the delivery of Arsenal Soccer School Sports activities. To deliver coaching sessions as directed To manage the day to day coaching rota including amendments To work with the Coordinator and Regional Manager to co ordinate development projects as instructed To manage and maintain coaching equipment in liaison with the Coordinator and Regional Manager To co ordinate the preparation of coaching packs to include code of conducts, schemes of work etc To coordinate, manage, deliver and monitor coaching sessions with groups of young people, or organisations. To liaise with parents/carers when appropriate To liaise with schools when appropriate. To lead, motivate, mentor sessional staff when appropriate To plan, monitor and evaluate all coaching sessions led or assisted at To ensure Safeguarding is adhered to including keeping personal CRB, First Aid qualifications up to date. To provide reports requested by the Coordinator and Regional Manager To undertake appropriate training To ensure the quality control of coaching sessions and Arsenal Soccer School Equipment. To contribute to staff development including coach education and peer coaching Variation This is by no means an exhaustive list of responsibilities and the post holder may be required to take on additional responsibilities as agreed with the Regional Manager and Director.
