BOPP Film Professional Committee of CPPIA Information about the Reform and Development Forum of BOPP Film Industry Chain 2008 Since the BOPP Film Development Forum 2007 on November 20 th, 2007 organized by our Committee in Fuzhou city, great changes have taken place in BOPP industry. On one hand, the prices of raw materials of BOPP have continued to rise as a result of increasing international oil prices, on the other hand, many new problems have arisen because of the fast expanding BOPP industrial scale, as there are more than 38 BOPP lines invested since 2006. Especially in the recent months, the price of BOPP film is inversely proportional to the price of raw materials, and the downstream business demands decreased due to the abnormal price fluctuations of BOPP films, which is the result of the abnormal fluctuations of raw materials prices. The healthy development of BOPP industry is facing unprecedented challenges. In order to investigate the future development trend of BOPP film industry, to exchange the information of raw and auxiliary materials, to discuss business needs of the downstream enterprises, to promote the technology research and development level, to improve the equipment maintenance level, to exchange the supply information of spare parts and thus to promote the sustainable development of BOPP film industry and the upstream and downstream industries in the long run, BOPP Professional Committee decides to hold the Reform and Development Forum of BOPP Film Industry Chain 2008 from 5 th to 7 th November, 2008 in Fuzhou, Jingcheng Hotel.
