INDUSTRIAL PIPING SYSTEMS The product group INDUSTRIAL PIPING SYSTEMS offers a wide range of pipes, fittings, valves and special units for the transport of aggressive media. In order to cover the various different operating conditions in industrial applications it is necessary to use a variety of materials such as PP, PE, PPs, PPs-el, PE 80-el, PVDF and ECTFE. Products Besides the variety of materials, several pipe components allow the construction of pipelines over a big range of dimensions or flow rates. Especially for the transport of aggressive, acidic media the robust properties of plastic piping systems ensure an operational liability over years. Quality AGRU operates a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000 which complies with the requirements of the international standard. AGRU products are certified in accordance with the European Directive 97/23/EU (Directive for pressure equipment). In addition, the double containment piping system can effectively protect individuals and environment from dangerous media. Piping systems with lower wall thickness are especially designed for the transport of industrial exhausts. PPs PPs-el PE 80-el In order to comply with the numerous specific requirements made on piping systems in chemical industry and apparatus engineering, the flameretardant and conductive moulding materials PPs, PPs-el and PE 80-el have been developed. When running e.g. thermoplastic piping systems electrostatic charging can be caused by flowing liquids or by dust. The conductive plastics were developed to prevent static charging or to simply drain off the charge by grounding. These modified properties are achieved by admixing additives. Therefore, the materials are not suitable for drinking water pipelines nor the contact with food. PVDF ECTFE In order to meet the raised requirements made on plastics used for apparatus engineering and piping systems, high-grade plastics have been developed. PVDF (polyvinylidenefluoride) is a thermoplast that distinguishes from other fluoroplastics due to its easy processability. ECTFE (ethylene chlorine trifluoride ethylene) especially stands out for its high chemical resistance in connection with high temperatures. The excellent properties of both raw material types, PVDF and ECTFE, are achieved without admixing any additives such as e.g. stabilisers or colorants. DOUBLE CONTAINMENT PIPES The AGRU double containment piping system was originally developed to meet the complex requirements made on the piping systems in today s process technology. Advantages Various combinations of media pipe and protective pipe Exact localization of possible leakages through an electronic detection system - thus, lower repair and maintenance costs Use of high corrosion-resistant moulding materials such as PEHD, PP, PVDF and ECTFE Prevention of consequential damages (e.g. environmental pollution) System dividable into several protection zones - thus, higher operational flexibility Easy installation A leak detection system is used for detecting possible leakages in a double containment pipeline. This system is installed either inside or through the space between inner and outer pipe. Heating-element butt welding is mostly used as welding process.
