2 Worldwide competence in plastics AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH is a family-owned, highly productive enterprise, headquartered in Austria with worldwide activities in production and sales of high-quality thermoplastic polymer products. One of our core competences are piping systems made of polyethylene (PE). The strongly increasing importance of trenchless rehabilitation methods induced us to develop the SureFIT / r.tec close-fit-liner. This liner is a PE 100 pipe preformed right after extrusion in order to reduce its cross section. It is used for close-fit-lining, rehabilitating damaged pipelines in an efficient and durable manner. 3 Clever rehabilitation Old underground pipe networks made of conventional material may develop leakages, causing subsequent damage and costs... The SureFIT / r.tec close-fit-liner is the optimal product for the rehabilitation of supply and waste / return pipelines. It is designed for close-fit-lining and provides all known advantages of standard PE pipes. Rehabilitate any kind of pipeline, such as concrete, steel, cast iron, stoneware or PVC pipes, and permanently combat cracks, leaking connections, damages caused by corrosion or root ingrowths. Besides its use in the area of sewage disposal and industrial piping networks, it is primarily employed in natural gas and potable water supply applications. Thanks to tightest bending radii the liner can be inserted via existing manholes or small construction pits. Thus the pipelines do not need to be dug up - nature and living environment stay entirely untouched, traffic keeps flowing without interruption and expensive reconditioning activities become redundant. You can have a quiet conscience because only steam (water) and pressure are used during the installation process. Moreover, the liner made of PE 100 is ecologically inoffensive in production as well as operation. 6 The factory-preformed PE-pipe Step 1: A conventional pipe made of high-quality PE 100 is extruded on state-of-the-art production machinery. Step 2: The round pipe is folded into a U-shape. The cross-section is being reduced by about 15 %. Step 3: Once the close-fit-liner is cooled down entirely, it is coiled up on reels in lengths between 100 and 1000 metres. The memory effect When heated up, the factory-preformed pipe regains its round cross-section. It remembers its original shape due to the energy that was embedded during the folding process. SureFIT r.tec close-fit-liner Fit for relining? How to install... The installation is done according to the r.tec close-fit-method. This method has been successfully used for many years for the renovation of supply and disposal systems. Step 1: The old pipe is cleaned from deposits and freed from protruding obstacles. Step 2: Afterwards the SureFIT / r.tec close-fit-liner is fed into the pipe to be rehabilitated by means of a winch. Step 3: The liner is heated up by steam, which activates the memory effect. Step 4: The close-fit-liner regains its original round shape, optimally adjusts to the pipe wall of the old pipe and reduces its internal stress during this process.

7 Quality and reliability Best quality The SureFIT / r.tec close-fit-liner is manufactured according to international standards (EN , EN , EN ). Within the scope of the internal quality control the following properties of finished pipes are tested: zdimensional accuracy zlong-term hydrostatic strength zcross-section reduction zmemory effect During additional periodic external inspections, mechanical tests and hygienic examinations as well as other tests are carried out. Existing approvals document the high quality of SureFIT pipes made by AGRU (e.g. according to DVGW GW335-A2 for natural gas and potable water).
