Backroads Vintage Market At merson Creek VNDO APPLCAON & AGMN Summer Series hank you for your interest in participating as a vendor at the Backroads Vintage Market. We love bringing people together who have an eye for great vintage-style pieces and want to share their unique finds with others! We envision vibrant markets filled with antique, industrial, rustic, upcycled, handmade, and seasonal items for all to enjoy and buy. Participating vendors will be chosen based on how well they fit within the parameters of our vintage market vision, and our Summer Series themes. We will consider product variety, originality, quality and display. We will approve a limited number of any one type of vendor and product to reduce competition and provide the largest selection of merchandise to attendees. Vendors may be approved for more than one market date provided the vendor fits the particular theme and/or there is sufficient space available. Past participation in our markets does not guarantee acceptance for future markets n the first stage of our approval process, we re going to limit vendors seeking an indoor spot to participating in three of the five markets. f space remains available, we will offer remaining spaces to those vendors who would like to participate in more than three markets. We re also going to maintain an emergency list if you haven t been accepted for a particular market, but could be ready to pack up and join us at the very last minute, please let us know. Last-minute openings do occur! For outdoor spots, there is no limitation on the number of markets a vendor may participate in. Photos of your booths at other shows or antique malls (or a display made specifically for this application) are suggested with your vendor application unless we are already familiar with your work. Vendors may share booth space but pictures and contact information must be disclosed for all participants. Applications for the BVM Summer Series Markets are due on or before March 1, 2017. We will notify applicants of their application status by April 1, 2017. We will continue to consider and accept new applications after March 1, 2017 on a rolling basis until all spaces are filled. Once accepted, fees must be paid in full within 2 weeks of acceptance or the vendor space may be reassigned. Payment by check is preferred, although payment through Paypal is accepted. All participating vendors will be provided with the llinois Department of evenue Special vent ax Collection eport for each market. t is each vendor s responsibility to file and pay such taxes as may be required by his or her business. Sales tax for Oswego is 7.25%. wisted Vintage Décor will provide a list of all participating vendors, including business name, business address, and contact person, to the llinois Department of evenue for each market, as requested by the D. Vendors may choose to set up on the day of each market, from 7am 10am, or on the day before each market, from 3pm 5:30pm. We will assume that vendors are setting up on the day of the market unless a vendor has specifically scheduled a time during the uesday 3pm 5:30pm window by emailing ina and Colleen. Vendors should be substantially, if not fully, set up by the start of the market at 10am. Vendors will provide all items needed for their displays and selling comfort, including tables and chairs, and tents for outdoor vendors. ents are not allowed in indoor booth spaces unless a vendor receives prior written approval from ina and Colleen. Please refrain from major tear-down efforts until the market has ended. Having dollies or hand trucks on the floor during market hours can be a danger to customers. Vendors must vacate their booth space and have all items removed from merson Creek by 5pm. efreshments will be available for purchase. merson Creek will be offering a selection of delicacies from their tearoom menu in the barn. We have an established Facebook event page to advertise our yearly market and our summer series markets. We have an ever-increasing number of followers, and we suggest you share our Facebook page with your customers. n addition, event information will be forwarded to thousands of contacts at merson Creek Pottery and wisted Vintage Décor via electronic and hard copy postcards. lectronic copies of the event materials will be provided to you to share with your customers and display in any retail space you may have. We will contact local print media to share details of the events. We spotlight vendors on the BVM Facebook page before every market (provided we have timely information and photos from you!), and we encourage you to share these spotlights with your own customers to broaden our reach for all vendors. Booth fees are not refundable should an indoor vendor need to cancel for any reason. Booth fees may be refundable or partially refundable to outdoor vendors for rain conditions occurring on the day of a market. Page 2 of 6
