MARASSI BEACH CLUB 9 December 27, 2016Specification training 2016 / MLg
Project Description - The Club house located in Marassi Project in North coast where there Is a heavy rain the winter cause a lot of Leakage on the roof - There is two different roofs in using, One is accessible which Sika suggested the Combo roof system in and the second is non-accessible which Sika suggested the Sika Lastic 560 system reinforced with Sika Lastic Fleece Requirements: - A durable System for roofing the Club house accessible roof - New innovation system for the non-accessible roofs - Easy maintain system which can be maintained easily - For the non-accessible areas they need a roofing system which can be used without removing the old tiles and Insulation - Fast application system 10 December 27, 2016Specification training 2016 / MLg
COMBO ROOF SYSTEM 11 December 27, 2016Specification training 2016 / MLg
SIKA INTEGRATED ROOFING SYSTEM ( COMBO ROOF) 1- Sika Topseal 107 Elastic 1 2- Screed in panels and Slopes 3- Separation Layer 4- Sika Raintite Acrylic Paint 5- SIKA PU foam Spray 6- Roof Slab WHY CHOOSE??? 1- Cost effectiveness: application, repair and maintenance is a seamless and easy process allowing long term investment. VID-20120426-00007.3GP 2- Double layered waterproofing system: due to its double layer of monolithic system and its closed cell construction in the foam forms an impermeable waterproofing layer. 3- Saving Energy: it is based on the latest PU technology keeping the heat out reducing the use of air conditions which in turn saves up to 40% in electricity bills 12
SIKA INTEGRATED ROOFING SYSTEM TECHNICAL EVALUATION AGAINST THE CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM SIKA INTEGRATED ROOFING SYSTEM Integrated Roofing System is offering comprehensive system by a single manufacturer BITUMEN MEMBRANE SYSTEM Non-availability of any comprehensive roofing system by single manufacturer - spray polyurethane foam with average density 50-55 Kg/m3 & thickness 4(±1) cm. Sika PU foam Spray - apply an acrylic UV protection waterproof coating sika Raintite - - lay a geotextile filter fabric over the roof area as a protection layer prior to the start of screeding works. - lay protective screed with average thickness 5cm making all required paneling work to attain the desired slope levels as well as sealant filling to all expansion joints (Sikaflex 1a). Apply Elastomeric cementitious coating sika topseal 107 elastic Heat Insulation and waterproofing joints free Provides a monolithic continuous surface with no edges, seams, gaps or joints. Offers best K-value 0.02w/mk means 3cm PU foam is equivalent to 5cm extruded polystyrene. - Install torch applied water proofing membrane making all required flashing. - lay polyethylene 1000g protective sheet on the membrane. - Install extruded polystyrene heat insulation boards with 7cm thickness. - Supply & lay a geotextile filter fabric over the roof area as a protection layer prior to the start of screeding works. - Supply & lay protective screed with average thickness 5cm making all required paneling work to attain the desired slope levels as well as sealant filling to all expansion joints (by others). 6- Elastomeric cementitious coating. Heat Insulation and waterproofing with joints Required to be cut & welded taking into consideration overhangs, overlaps, seams & joints. K-value 0.033 w/mk means 5cm extruded polystyrene is equivalent to 3cm PU foam.
SIKA INTEGRATED ROOFING SYSTEM TECHNICAL EVALUATION AGAINST THE CONVENTIONAL SYSTEM SIKA INTEGRATED ROOFING SYSTEM Self adhering without fasteners preventing water migration laterally under insulation if any damage occur. Self flashing Higher density 50-55 Kg/m3 means higher mechanical properties like compressive strength. Self adhering without fasteners resisting wind uplift problems. Excellent application for irregular surfaces such as corrugated, critical, inaccessible or curved areas. Rapid installation times BITUMEN MEMBRANE SYSTEM water migrates laterally under insulation if any damage occur making it very difficult to find or repair a leak. Mechanically Attached flashing Lower density 32 36 Kg/m3 means lower mechanical Properties. Mechanically Secured to roof with fasteners & can lift off under high wind. Only can be used on flat areas. Much more time needed especially in hard to treat areas. 14 December 27, 2016 Title of Presentation / Meeting Name
