Page 1/5 WELDYX Professional white is a two-component high-performance adhesive based on methyl methacrylate. WELDYX Professional white is suited for structural bonds of thermoplastics metal and composite components(1). The mixing ratio is 10:1, it is hand-tight very fast. The combination of minimal substrate pre-treatment, metal bonds without primer, short cycle times and no tracing of the bonding surface makes WELDYX Professional white ideal for a variety of assembly operations. Trading unit Item no.: Item no.: 5 minutes 15 minutes 37 ml cartridge WXPRO5.K37W WXPRO15.K37W 490 ml cartridge WXPRO5.K490W WXPRO15.K490W Performance Characteristics + Benefits available working times (open time): of 5 and 15 minutes permanent toughness of the material no necessity of priming or surface pre-treatment with the most kinds of metals no running on vertical surfaces high flexibility with a broad temperature spectrum no tracing of the bonding surface excellent chemical and temperature resistance high dynamic resistance to impact and shock less reworking on the surfaces applications in the critical outdoor areas possible. Suitable Materials Acrylics, PVC, ABS, metals, SMC, polyester/vinylester, epoxy, coated metals. Suitable for automotive components, electrical components, white ware, plastic tanks, plastic & composite materials, metal manufacture, signs and displays, thermoforming casings, etc. The bondings are resistant against heat, water, humidity, hydrous chemicals and the most petrol hydrocarbons, including motor-oil, petrol and diesel. Not suitable for a permanent use in high-concentrate acids and bases or other agressive organic solutions like toluol, ketone and esters. The user is responsible for testing the suitable adhesive for the application. (1) With most of thermoplastic synthetics a dry wiping is usually sufficient before the bonding. If an impurity is visible or assumed, the surface has to be wiped with alcohol. Polyolefins, thermoplastic polyesters, fluorocarbon plastics and other low surface energy plastics are generally not bondable. Thermosetting plastics have to be tested before due to their different binding power.

Page 3 / 5 Safety & Handling Read Material Safety Data Sheet before handling or using this product. Adhesive components contain methyl methacrylate monomer and are flammable. Always use in a well-ventilated area. The chemical curing reaction which occurs when mixing the components resin and hardener generates heat. The heat level depends on the mass and strength of the mixed product. Large quantities can generate high temperatures and harmful as well as flammable vapours. Large curing masses should be stored in a ventilated area. Contact is to be avoided during the curing process. Keep cartridge closed when not in use. Prevent contact with skin and eyes. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush with water for 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention. Harmful, if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children. Pre-treatment The designated surfaces have to be free of dust, oil and fat. Use herefore a suitable WELDYX cleaner (for metals: Weldyx metal cleaner, Item no.: WXCLM.D500; for plastics Weldyx plastic cleaner, Item.no.: WXCLP.D500) in order to guarantee an ideal process. Professional Dispensing Solutions For the application of our WELDYX products, we offer professional dispensing systems, starting a dispensing gun (pneumatic / manual) for small applications, dispensing installations with refilling system for high performance, dispensing systems for major orders and finally complete automation for highest demands to dispensing accuracy, handling and efficiency. These systems not only optimize your production processes but especially have advantages concerning time consumption and costs. Due to the unique combination of innovative technology, high mobility as well as easy handling, our dispensing solutions are the perfect supplement for the WELDYX series. Our professional dispensing systems are available for the mixing ratios 1:1 / 1,5:1 / 2:1 / 4:1 / 10:1. Please contact GLUETEC for further information and availability. We would be glad to assist you with the selection of the right dispensing system, in order for you to be able to apply our WELDYX products exactly the way that your application demands.

Page 4 / 5 Instructions for Application Follow the specified instructions or contact GLUETEC before the beginning of the bonding process. Dispense a small amount of the adhesive onto a test piece to ensure that the adhesive emerging from the mixer tip has the right colour and consistency. During the usage of recently opened containers and older material respectively, the test piece should completely cure in order to verify the quality. Dispense a sufficient quantity of the adhesive onto the assembly parts to ensure that a minimum gap of 1mm is created during the pressing of the parts. Pay attention that the adhesive emerges at the exterior sides in order to guarantee a complete filling. Fixate the bonded parts to prevent them from shifting during the curing process. Excessive pressure on the assembly parts can in some cases have a negative effect for the thickness of the adhesive layer and hence the quality of the adhesive connection. In case of doubt, use a spacer or contact GLUETEC. Test the cured adhesive for its strength by pressing it with your fingernails. If the adhesive remains stabile, remove the spacer of fixations. Curing The processing time describes the approximate time, in which the adhesive stays in a liquid state and can be worked after the components resin and curing agent have been mixed. Generally, the work pieces can be processed as soon as 80% of final strength have been reached. In case of expected temperature fluctuations, please contact GLUETEC for technical support. Cleaning After the application, remove residues of the adhesive components as well as of the mixed adhesive with a suited cleaner [depending on the material type WELDYX metal cleaner (WXCLM.D500; WXCLM.D1000 ) or WELDYX plastic cleaner (WXCLP.D500; WXCLP.D500)] before the adhesive has fully cured. If an uncured adhesion is supposed to be exposed UV light, contact GLUETEC for further information. We do not recommend the cleaning of the adhered parts with industrial solvents due to the fact that these products can influence the curing process in a negative way. Storage and Storage Life The storage life of resin and curing agent in unopened packaging is 12 months starting with the date of shipping by Gluetec. The product requires storage at a temperature of +13 C and +27 C to maintain the maximum storage life. The storage at temperatures above +27 C can shorten the storage life considerably. Storage or transport at temperatures above +38 C can lead to the destruction the product and has to be avoided at all times. Protect from freezing!!

Page 5 / 5 Important notes a. COMPATIBILITY OF SUBSTRATES AND APPLICATION. The user is asked to verify the suitability of the adhesive in connection with the used substrates and the application itself. On request, GLUETEC will be glad to help with the procedure. b. SURFACE PRETREATMENT. The necessity of a surface pre-treatment has to be verified with similar treated and untreated substrates. Preceding adhesive tests should be conducted with simulated stability tests to ensure that the surface condition of the material does not influence the adhesion negatively. Alterations of the substrates or the adhesive require a repetition of the test. c. TECHNICAL SUPPORT. Contact GLUETEC if you have questions or need support regarding the choice of the right product for your application. This product should be handled by qualified personnel and the application is at one s own risk. The recommendations described herein are based on on our experience and newest expertise. The listed characteristics and values were established under controlled conditions in a laboratory and can therefore only serve as an orientation. An actual suitability of the adhesive for each specific application has to be determined by the user himself under real test conditions. GLUETEC reserves the right to limit the guarantee for a replacement for defect products after shipping since a correct handling cannot be comprehensively controlled. The information contained in this data sheet, especially the suggestions for processing and application of products, is based on our experience and newest expertise. Due to the facts that materials can be very diverse and that we have no influence on the working conditions, we recommend to perform sufficient tests to validate the compatibility of the products.
