EYE-CATCHING FAÇADE MAKE AN IMPACT WITH THE FIRST IMPRESSION. PACKAGING MAKES A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE WITH PEOPLE, WITH PRODUCTS, AND WITH BUIL- DINGS TOO. TURN YOUR FAÇADE INTO A VISUAL HIGHLIGHT. A great deal of creativity is often invested in interior design and furnishing. The building s façade should also be in keeping with the interior. An aesthetically pleasing façade will catch the eye; it represents the face and business card of the building. Wood is a construction material with a long tradition as a fundamental element in every phase of architectural development. As the spirit of the times is continually changing, new materials have also appeared in tandem with new design accents. Whether it s refuges made from sandstone, timber constructions, half-timbered buildings or structures made from concrete, there is a huge range of different styles that continue to inspire enthusiasm. The needs of people change, and the same holds true for architecture. Whether classical or modern, buildings are nowadays created from a combination of concrete, steel and also increasingly from wood again. DESIGN YOUR FAÇADE TO BE APPEALING AND NATURE-CONSCIOUS, AND TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPRESSION ON PEOPLE. Nowadays, people spend the majority of their time in or around buildings. Buildings can also affect the mood, psyche and thus also the health of people in either a positive or negative way. The architecture and design of buildings can therefore be extremely important for everyday life much more so, for instance, than music, literature, painting or even fitness.
WOOD IS A NATURAL PRODUCT THAT IMPARTS WARMTH, COMFORT AND WELLBEING BOTH INDOORS AND OUTDOORS. These benefits have been recognised by many people as well as architects. In interior design, wood is once more used as a frequent flooring material and also as wall cladding. As well as the opportunities it brings for having a pleasing, nature-conscious and also positive effect on people, when wood is used in the creation of a façade it also has this beneficial characteristic: it has a temperature-balancing effect. It creates a pleasant warmth when the weather is on the chilly side, and on hot days, even if the sun s rays are strong, it stems the heat and prevents the building s interior from heating up excessively. Create an ambience by cladding the façade with thermally refined wood either over its entire surface or punctuated by concreting individual areas. Perhaps you have some concerns about the longevity and maintenance of wood? Wooden buildings and halftimbered structures have survived for centuries. Our innovative thermal sealing of native woods makes them a great deal more durable and easier to maintain. THE BENEFITS OF THERMO WOOD: Native woods with the durability of tropical wood Better dimensional stability than tropical wood Durability class 1 or 2, minimal cracking Long service life, but low maintenance Extremely resistant to mould, blue stain and wood pests No need for any chemical impregnation Sustainable raw material from accredited forests

PROFILES FOR VISIBLE SCREW ATTACHMENT TIMURA FAÇADE INNOVATIVE PRODUCTION PRACTICAL ATTACHMENT. USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE SUBSTRUCTURE AND THE VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE SCREW CONNECTION OF THE FAÇADE PROFILES. Rhombus PROFILES FOR INVISIBLE SCREW ATTACHMENT Façade profiles are not attached directly to the wall of the building but are attached to a substructure with an offset. The advantages of this approach are as follows: Air can circulate in the intermediate space. The wood can breathe freely and easily release any moisture that it has absorbed. This protects the wood against rot and also maintains a more steady temperature inside when temperatures outside rise or fall sharply. YOUR OPTIONS FOR THE SUBSTRUCTURE: Joists made from thermo spruce Dimensions: 40 x 60 mm or 60 x 60 mm, 5 m in length Aluminium joists Dimensions: 45 x 45 mm, length 6 m FAÇADE PROFILES CAN BE SECURED USING VISIBLE OR INVISIBLE SCREW CONNECTIONS. Rhombus with Clip Tiga Folding rhombus Rhombus with Clip Juan Folding formwork Any façade profile can be secured conventionally using screws. Though wood works, i.e. absorbs moisture and releases it again, screws do not do the same, meaning the façade profiles may be damaged as a result. The alternative is an invisible screw attachment. Here, the façade profiles are secured to the substructure using system connectors with clips. The shapes of façade profiles for both visible and invisible screw attachment can be found on the left.
TIMURA THERMO WOOD RESISTANT BUT STILL A PIECE OF NATURE. FOR USE OUTDOORS, ONLY DURABLE WOODS SUCH AS NATURALLY GROWN TROPICAL WOOD OR ALTERNATIVELY THERMO WOOD ARE SUITABLE. During thermal treatment, ecologically grown native woods are heated to over 200 degrees without the use of any chemicals. The heat compresses the fibresof the wood. As a result, the wood becomes resistant and less prone to swelling and deformation. Unlike tropical wood, every piece of thermo wood from timura represents a guarantee of consistent and optimum quality. Using thermo wood as an alternative to tropical wood also helps preserve tropical rainforests, which provide a habitat for many endangered species. Thermo wood offers plenty of advantages. However, the fact remains that it is a natural product and, like human skin, it is subject to an ageing process. Extremely wet weather or intense sunshine can thus result in changes to the appearance of thermo wood, and small cracks or deformations may appear from time to time. NATURAL, WITH THE FASHIONABLE USED LOOK, OR NOURISHED WITH WOOD OILS THE LOOK IS ENTIRELY UP TO YOU. Like any wood, tropical wood and thermo wood will turn grey if they are not properly maintained because UV rays destroy lignin, the substance that gives wood its colour. This natural discolouration is currently in vogue and is for many people what makes wood so appealing. You can determine the appearance of your façade yourself by applying a surface treatment. Applications of oil serve to protect the wood, allow it to breathe, reduce deformations and impart colour brown oiled, grey oiled or used look. It is also possible to apply stains over the entire surface. Thermo-Kiefer Oberfläche Volldeckend
