ROLE SUMMARY GLOBAL SUPPORT ANALYST This role sits within the Global Support (GS) Division, one of the five Divisions making up Informa plc, tasked with providing support to the four other operating divisions. The GS Division is sub-divided into two main organisation verticals Group Functions Global Business Services (GBS) Within the first vertical are the standard Corporate / Head Office cost centre departments such as Leadership; M&A; Finance and Talent Management to name a few, and within the later vertical we have Finance Shared Services, Group IT and Group HR (again to name a few). Together they comprise a cost base of some 90m annually. The Analyst role reports into the Global Support Divisional Controller The analyst will be expected to work closely with the divisional controller as well as senior Group leaders The role will also require contact with the Shared Service Centres who are responsible for producing the financial detail for the GBS vertical and the Head Office Accountant who produces the financial detail for the Group Functions. The role will require work with the other divisions to help drive joined up business planning and budgeting activity. Whilst Global Business Services has now been established as a vertical, there will continue to be further evolution through 2017 and this role will support that. There will be occasions when the role will be required to deputise for the Divisional Controller. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Group Functions vertical Financial Planning and Analysis activities: Assist in pulling together a high-level summary view of the expected month end numbers pre-submission to Group Finance on WD4 Assist in pulling together a high-level summary view of the monthly FY forecast numbers pre-submission to Group Finance of WD5 Variance analysis of actual, budget and forecast gross costs as well as where relevant recharges to supported Divisions Assist in producing financial commentary Decision support and analysis activities: Provide robust challenge around finance variances Provide review and challenge to capital expenditures, and to ensure that appropriate costs have been capitalised in accordance with IFRS Assist in the tracking of benefits arising from Divisional projects (e.g.: GLOBE) Business Partnering: To Group Functions Supporting advancing end to end cost management across Informa Assist in providing cost control and review to Divisional projects www.informa.com Role Profile Global Support Analyst Informa PLC 4
