BACKGROUND With the emerging growth of Indian economy and its increased dependability on the green energy and renewable sector, it is evident that transi oning to a greener approach for a sustainable economic growth is highly desirable. The falling costs of renewable energy, ambi ous government plans for rapid deployment of renewable energy and increasing financial support from interna onal governments and investors all indicate that the transi on to a low-carbon economy based on this green approach is not only possible, but already underway.
