How to read this table: Table 2 summarizes the prerequisites and credits in the LEED 2009 Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system for which this guidance is applicable. The Campus Credit column contains a C for credits and prerequisites that are eligible to be included as campus credits in a master site. This column will be blank for those that may be pursued separately by each LEED project within the LEED campus boundary. The Group Credit column contains a G for credit and prerequisites that have group application guidance that must be followed if pursued in a group project certification. This column will be blank for those where compliance must be demonstrated on an individual building basis for all buildings within a group project. This table is intended for reference only. Many credits and prerequisites have additional conditions that must be met to be eligible as a campus or group credit. The credit-level application guidance that follows addresses every credit and prerequisite within the 2009 LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system.

SS Credit 6: Site Development - Stormwater Quantity Control Credit compliance may be achieved by using a campus ongoing stormwater management plan and annual inspection program. The stormwater runoff calculations must account for the total campus area. The reduction requirements must be met at the LEED campus boundary. The credit requirements apply to the area within the LEED project boundary.

SS Credit 7.1: Heat Island Reduction-Nonroof Option 1: The area of all of the site hardscape contained within the LEED campus boundary (including hardscape associated with projects within the LEED campus boundary that are not pursuing LEED certification) must be included in the calculations. Option 2: All of the parking located within the LEED campus boundary must be included in the calculations. The credit requirements apply to the area within the LEED project boundary. SS Credit 7.2: Heat Island Reduction-Roof The credit cannot be pursued as a campus credit. SS Credit 8: Light Pollution Reduction Exterior: Option 1: All projects in the campus must have been previously certified. Interior: Interior lighting control systems may be part of a campus-wide automation system. Include all lighting zones and non-emergency built-in light fixtures. If a campus-wide automation system is not in place, this portion of the credit must be submitted for each individual project. Exterior: If using Option 2 for exterior lighting compliance, the requirements must be met at the LEED project boundary. Interior: Each building within the LEED project boundary must meet the credit requirements for interior lighting individually. The credit requirements may be met by implementing a campus-wide Building Automation System as long as parameters are set for each individual building. Alternatively, if the project does not have a campus-wide Building Automation System, the credit requirements must be met for each building individually. EA Credit 3.2: Performance Measurement System-level Metering This credit cannot be pursued as a campus credit.
