The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) is visualised as a Centre encompassing all arts, especially in their dimensions of mutual inter-dependence. The arts are understood to comprise the fields of creative and critical literature, written and oral; the visual arts ranging from architecture, sculpture, painting and graphics to general material culture, photography and film; the performing arts of music, dance and theatre in their broadest connotation and all else in fairs, festivals and lifestyles that has an artistic dimension. The IGNCA seeks to place the arts within the context of the natural and human environment. The fundamental approach of the Centre in all its work is both multi disciplinary and interdisciplinary. Through specific programmes and projects the interdependence amongst the arts and between the arts with other forms of cultural expressions, the mutual influences between diverse regions and the inter-relationship of the tribal, rural and urban as well as the literate and oral traditions will be investigated, recorded and presented. The IGNCA is looking for a Consultant to work in the CSR project. IGNCA has laid down a vision to raise resources from various Corporate/PSUs and other funding agencies to support and expand its programme and activities. Since IGNCA has made elaborate plans to expand its programme in creative and critical dialogue through performances, exhibitions, multi-media projections, conferences, seminars and workshops on traditional and contemporary arts it needs to raise resources for the same. PROJECT AREA : Consultant :- CSR - One Position ROLE: To manage and leverage strategic aspects of IGNCA s profile with donors and critical stakeholders to increase the resource base of IGNCA and to provide technical and specialised resource mobilisation skills to increase the diversified funding of IGNCA from all sources. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, review, modify and implement a marketing/business development strategy to set and meet the organisation s fundraising targets and help the organisation to operationalise fundraising plans especially from Government bodies/agencies, PSU s and Corporate. 2 To research, establish and develop contacts and good working relationships with existing and potential donors, Government bodies/agencies, PSU s and Corporate; network with key players associated with industrial and corporate sectors in order to develop strong and sustainable partnerships. To work in collaboration with Director to increase the brand recognition of IGNCA as a leading cultural organisation and generate funds from Government bodies/agencies, PSU s, Corporate to ensure regular giving. Strengthen existing partnerships with Government bodies/agencies, PSU s, Corporate and develop new partners, including researching funding opportunities, tenders, expressions of interest and requests for proposals, from the public and private sectors to generate funds. Contribute to the development of the communication strategy of IGNCA in close coordination with the PR/communications team to build the IGNCA brand. Establish and follow systems driven process for: Monitoring of fundraising initiatives. Reporting of financial information for the marketing initiatives Fundraising operations. Education MBA from a reputed University Leadership Have a social entrepreneurial approach to non-profit management. Self-driven and highly performance oriented. 3 Networking and relationship building Strong skills in relationship management with multiple stakeholders - corporates, individual donors, funding agencies etc. Ability to persuade, network and negotiate with stakeholders. Compatibility with the culture and mission of IGNCA Understand the vision, mission and goals of the organisation. Should possess empathy for children in need and in difficult circumstances. Credibility through proven track record of performance. EXPERIENCE Essential: At least 10 years of experience in business development/resource mobilisation functions in CSR and social welfare schemes. Should have raised resources for a minimum of Rs 3 crore in the last three years from Government department/agencies/psu. Excellent skills in analysis, strategic planning and implementation of business/ marketing oriented functions. Should be able to develop and write proposals and do budgeting. Skills in building, strengthening and sustaining strategic partnerships, which will enable potential funding from partners like Government Department/agencies, PSU s Corporate and institutional donors. Skills in leadership and team building. Have the ability to lead and motivate teams to be performance oriented. AGE LIMIT Not more than 45 years as 0n 31.08.2017 TENURE The tenure will be initially for a period of one year, extendable upto 2 years on satisfactory performance. A consolidated amount of Rs 70,000/- per month will be admissible in case of Consultant. TRAVEL They will be eligible to travel within India/abroad in connection with their work. MODE OF SELECTION 4 Walk in Interview REPORTS All publications arising of a Project undertaken under the aegis of the IGNCA shall bear the following :- The Project on which the present report is based was fully financed by the IGNCA. The responsibility for factual statements, as also the opinion/views expressed therein rests entirely with the author. Copyright ownership in the published research reports as also of papers arising out of the research project, shall rest with IGNCA. PRESERVATION OF DATA All data collected in the project shall be documented and preserved in the Archives of IGNCA and made available on demand for use by officials of IGNCA. PLACE OF POSTING Will be posted in New Delhi. Candidates are requested to attend interview with duly filled prescribed application form supported by self attested copies of testimonials.
