Runway 1-19 Safety Area Improvements & Hold Apron General Construction Package Scope included construction of a standard runway safety area at the south end of the runway, extension of parallel Taxiway J, relocation of the existing airport perimeter road, expansion of the hold apron, the relocation of FAA instrumentation and modification of approach lighting system. Substantial Completion was in July 2012. Contract Close Out is ongoing. 5

Runway 1-19 Overlay and Taxiway Rehabilitation Scope included the removal and replacement of asphalt runway and taxiway surfaces, replacement and upgrade of runway lights, and the construction of a standard runway safety area on the north end of the runway. Base contract work completed in December 2011. Runway touchdown zone lights modifications concluded in April 2012. Contract Close Out is ongoing. 8

ALSF-2 Construction for Runway 1-19 Scope included modifications to approach lighting pier, installation of a new lighting system, and construction of a new Approach Lighting with Sequenced Lighting (ALSF-2) Shelter. Substantial Completion was July 2012. Final FAA testing and certification completed in November 2012. Contract Close Out is ongoing. 10

River Rescue Boathouse Facility Scope is to construct a new river rescue support facility for rescue boat storage along with associated site work development. Contractor has installed the floating dock, structural steel and timber walkway. Boathouse roof truss work is scheduled to start in April. Substantial Completion is forecast for July 2013. 13

Terminal A Outbound Baggage Facility Scope consists of designing and erecting a pre-engineered building, installing new baggage make up devices and connection to Terminal A Lobby to serve six aircraft gates and to augment the existing baggage make-up space. Design-Build Contract Notice to Proceed issued November 12, 2012. Work has begun on building foundations, preengineered building procurement, and baggage system fabrication. Contract Substantial Completion is forecast for July 2013. 16

Terminal A Building Rehabilitation New Exterior Electrical Substation Scope consists of providing, installing and connecting a new exterior electrical substation to provide power to Terminal A Improvements. Notice to proceed was issued in January 2013. Contract Substantial Completion is forecast for October 2013. 19

Terminal A Curbside Check-in System Scope consists of installing a new curbside baggage conveyance system which integrates into the TSA screening area behind the existing ticket counters at Terminal A. Curb checked bags are then inserted into new Outbound Baggage System. Notice to Proceed was issued in February 2013. Contract Substantial Completion is forecast for September 2013. 22

Terminal A Security Screening Checkpoint (SSCP) Expansion Scope consists of constructing a new building addition to the West side of Terminal A corridor to accommodate a new, larger TSA passenger security screening checkpoint. Contract includes additional concession space and improved egress for arriving passengers. Contract awarded in late February 2013. Contract Substantial Completion is forecast for November 2013. 24

Terminal A Lobby Upgrades - Finishes Scope includes main lobby wall and floor finish refurbishing, increasing natural light through adding sunlight reflector to skylight and new north facing window wall. Contract was awarded in February 2013. Contract Substantial Completion is forecast for August 2013. 27

Taxilane E Rehabilitation Scope provided rehabilitation of portions of Taxilane E and Concourse C/D Apron. Work included concrete pavement demolition, excavation, backfill, soil stabilization fabric, geogrid installation, concrete panel replacement, crack sealing and pavement marking. Contractor has completed the final full depth concrete panel replacement/repairs, crack repair, and partial depth spall repair on TXL E and the C/D ramps. Substantial Completion achieved in June 2012. Contract Close Out is ongoing. 30

Concourse C/D Passenger Boarding Bridge Improvements Scope included the removal and replacement of two Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), refurbish five PBBs in place, refurbish and re-installation of two stored PBBs, at Concourse C/D. Substantial Completion was in November 2012. Contractor continues to complete Punch List. 32

Runway 30 Blast Pad Rehabilitation Scope included removal and replacement of damaged asphalt blast pad at the end of the Runway 30 end, grading of surrounding area and replacement of sod. Runway 12-30 was reopened at 11:00 p.m. on November 5, 2012. Contract Close Out is ongoing. 35

Concourse C/D Rehabilitation Restrooms and Switchbacks Scope provides interior improvements for Concourse C/D restrooms and gate walkway switchbacks. Improvements include new tile, lighting, fixtures and code upgrades. Contractor continues with the electrical rough-in, installation of counter supports, frame light cove, and sprinkler relocation in the Phase II D-8 & D-26 bathrooms. Substantial Completion is forecast for September 2013. 39

East & West Bag Basements EDS In-line Bag Screening Scope includes implementation of a current state-oftechnology baggage handling and TSA checked baggage inspection systems in the existing Main Terminal East and West baggage basements. Excavation for East Basement addition and expansion is complete. Baggage conveyor rerouting and preparatory work in the West Basement is on-going. Substantial Completion is forecast for July 2015. 42

Cargo Buildings 1-4 Exterior Rehabilitation Scope includes rehabilitation of the landside exterior of Cargo Buildings 1, 2, 3 and 4. Includes demolition of existing portions of canopy roofing, flashings, edge metal and fascia, cleaning/repair of structural steel framing and installation of new roofing system, roof drains and lightning protection. Replacement of the canopy roof is on-going. Substantial Completion is forecast for June 2013. 45

Fuel Settling Tank Farm Inbound Particle Separator Scope consists of providing additional fuel pre-filters, filters, temporary filter element storage container, rotating of tank isolation valves, re-commissioning of existing Clay Treater and repair of existing leak detection. Tank #23 Leak Detection is complete and Leak Detection on Tank #24 is underway. Substantial Completion is forecast for June 2013. 47

Taxilane Z1 Widening and Utilities for UAL Maintenance Hangar In coordination with United Airlines, the Airports Authority is ensuring appropriate aircraft rated taxilane pavement and utilities to the United Hangar. Scope consists of widening Taxilane Z1 to Aircraft Design Group V standards and extend the communication, electrical and gas utilities. The project has been in a winter shutdown but resumed pavement and utility installation in March. Substantial Completion is forecast for September 2013. 50

53 M E T R O P O L I T A N W A S H I N G T O N A I R P O R T S A U T H O R I T Y IAB Mechanical Systems Renovation Scope consists of replacement, refurbishment and new component installation associated with the original Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems of the International Arrivals Building. The project is in the submittal and fabrication phase. Substantial Completion is forecast for October 2013.
