JANUARY Page 2 / 8 Highlights Milling cutters carrying a double-sided triangular insert with six 10 mm long cutting edges. An effective and economical solution for milling 90º shoulders. Following excellent market response to the HELIDO 690 LINE milling family, ISCAR is introducing new indexable cutters carrying double-sided, triangular smaller size (10 mm) inserts. The new inserts designated H690 TNKX 100504PNTR were designed on the base of their successful predecessor: H690 TNKX 1606 (16 mm) inserts, with all their advantageous features. NEW 10 16 The new insert features a maximum depth of cut of 8 mm, providing the following advantages: Smaller tool diameters were enabled: 20 mm endmills and 32 mm face mills Tools with higher tooth density Double-sided triangular geometry provides 6 cutting edges Helical cutting edge and positive rake angle reduces cutting forces for soft and clean cutting action and long and reliable tool life Wiper flat for high surface finish The new HELIDO 690-10 inserts are produced from ISCAR s latest SUMO TEC carbide grades, which significantly increase productivity. The new family includes endmills in the diameter range of 20 to 40 mm and face mills in the diameter range of 32 to 63 mm.

The advantages of the new cutters are most noticeable when machining with a shallow depth of cut, and high table feed that provide increased productivity and reduced production costs.
