Transmission Line Towers Business Transmission Line Business is the primary business vertical of the Company. It manufactures entire range of Transmission Line Towers used in Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Telecom/ Microwave, Solar & Wind sector, having manufacturing facilities at Tarapur, Maharashtra, India. With a fabrication and galvanizing capacity of 108000 MT per annum, Karamtara has one of the largest tower manufacturing facilities in India under one roof. It has successfully supplied over 450000 MT of Transmission Line Towers in more than 25 countries. With more than a decade of proven excellence, it has capabilities to design, manufacture and supply Transmission Lines up to 1,200 kv and has supplied large quantity of towers for 765 kv and above. Our facility is amongst the most modern manufacturing facilities in the country. Manufacturing processes are carried out as per IS, BS & ASTM/JICA standards. Chemical waste of its unit is treated as per prescribed environmental standards.

Manufacturing The plant has integrated facility from Design, Engineering, Fabrication, Galvanizing and Testing of the Transmission Tower parts as per various Indian and International standards. Karamtara utilizes high end CNC machines in almost all processes, which provide high productivity with great reliability on the quality of the product. The manufacturing processes include Cutting, Punching, Stamping, Notching, Bending, Heel Grinding, Punching/ Drilling, Pickling, Galvanization and Chromate Coating. Testing lab is equipped with latest facilities to carry out various routine tests including ultimate strength, yield stress, Impact testing, Chemical Testing etc.
