1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Please refer to the WWW specification sheet(s) for footwear construction and labeling information. Vendors must purchase all shoe boxes, hang tags and other packing materials from suppliers authorized by WWW. All supplier contact information will be provided to the vendor by Wolverine Global Operations. 2. SHOE BOX CARTONS 2.1 UPC/SKU/Price requirements for footwear UPC/Price labels are to be ordered from Avery Dennison (see FORMS Sears Price Ticket Order Form and Sears Ticketing Manual). Shoe line drawings are required for departments 54 (Women s), 67 (Men s) and 36 & 86 (Kids). An additional Wide Width label must be ordered from Avery Dennison (see FORMS Sears Wide Width label order form) to be applied to all Wide or Extra Wide footwear shoe boxes. Factories are responsible for the cost of the labels. Apply the label to the lower right corner of box end, or to the lower left corner if finger hole and box lid prevents placement on the right side. If boot shoe box is wider than 14 (35.56 cm), add a second UPC/price label on the center of the long side of boot shoe box. Wide Width label for Wide or Extra Wide Footwear shoe boxes should be applied on same box end as the price ticket to either the left or right side. DO NOT apply WWW UPC labels to the shoe boxes. Place full label on shoe box. Remove backing paper from left and bottom sections of label leaving paper attached to the perforated upper right corner. Wide Width label to be applied to W and EW shoe box ends next to the price ticket. APPLY UPC LABEL HERE 2.2 Micro-Pak requirements for footwear Adhere Micro-Pak patch to inside side panel of pair box, upper corner. DO NOT place patch inside of shoes. 3. SHIPPING CARTONS & PACKING 3.1 Carton requirements for footwear Top opening, regular slotted, double wall, C-flute corrugate construction. Cartons must be sealed with tamper evident packing tape in an H pattern on top and bottom. Do not use straps or staples. Cartons must be appropriate size to securely hold the merchandise without the use of filler materials such as paper, plastic, etc. Ship products in cartons that meet the following minimum and maximum weight and dimension requirements. 3.2 Packing footwear Pack only one style, color, and size per carton (unless otherwise specified on the WWW purchase order). Children s shoes can be packed two deep with item barcode labels facing up. Pack all shoeboxes facing the same direction within the shipping carton. The quantity to be packed in each carton is shown on the WWW purchase order. 4. SHIPPING CARTON MARKING 4.1 Carton labels 4.1.1 Apply the WWW barcode carton label (license plate) to the lower left corner of shortest side of shipping carton perpendicular to the flap seam. The lower edge of the label should be between 1 (2.5 cm) and 2 (5 cm) from the bottom of the carton and the left edge of the label should be between 1 (2.5 cm) and 2 (5 cm) from the side of the carton. 4.1.2 Label all cartons on one side and one end with content information. The factory must machine-print the information in black, upper case, Arial style characters a minimum of ¼ (7 mm) high on white labels. Do not hand write or stencil the information. For solid packed cartons, include the following information: 2-digit Sears department number (drop the leading 6 of the 3-digit version of the department number). Purchase order number Sears item number Size Sears SKU number Total quantity of pairs inside the carton Country of origin Example: For prepacked cartons, include the following information: 2-digit Sears department number (drop the leading 6 of the 3-digit version of the department number). Example: Place a content label in the upper right quadrant of one of the narrower (smaller) sides of the carton on the opposite the side on which the WWW license plate label is placed. Place another label parallel to the top and no closer than 1 (2.54 cm) to the side and top edge of the carton as illustrated below. 4.2 Carton markings Markings must be stenciled on opposite sides in lettering at least ½ (1.5 cm) high. Do not allow the information to interfere with the contents labels and the WWW license plate label. Main mark: SEARS (in diamond or triangle), final destination (ship-to) address, PO number, WWW stock number. Side mark: Number of cartons, net & gross weights, and carton measurements. 5. PACKING LIST For each purchase order, a complete packing list itemized by carton is to be attached to the lead carton (carton #1). The envelope containing the packing list must be clearly marked as Packing List Enclosed.
