To lead on defined programmes and projects in agreement with the Programme Manager and Consultant in Public Health, which will include budget and staff management and reporting to senior officers and committees. To lead on the establishment, operational management and promotion of the new in-house Stop Smoking service, in collaboration with the designated health improvement practitioner. To lead on the implementation and evaluation of the social prescribing pilot in primary care. To work collaboratively with all team members, taking the lead in certain areas when required, to ensure successful delivery of PH3.0, the new Health Improvement Programme for Bracknell Forest, with a particular focus on the use of digital technology and social media and asset-based community development approaches. MAIN UTIS AN RSPONSIBILITIS Support the Programme Manager in the overall delivery of public health programmes and projects of priority areas of work identified in the public health business plan/jsna/health and Wellbeing Strategy To lead on defined programmes and projects, in agreement with the Programme Manager and Consultant in Public Health, including the establishment, operational management and promotion of the new in-house Stop Smoking service, in collaboration with the designated health improvement practitioner. To lead on the implementation and evaluation of the social prescribing pilot in primary care Identification of health needs, using appropriate analytic techniques and working with multiple qualitative and quantitative data sources, including intelligence from local communities Supporting the development and delivery of evidence-based strategies to meet these health needs. valuating the impact of programmes and projects using appropriate evaluation techniques. Monitoring programme performance against key indicators/outcomes measures Supporting the dissemination of learning from programmes and projects at local, regional and national level. Working with residents and community groups, in collaboration with colleagues across the Council and other organisations to support the delivery of public health objectives Supporting the delivery of PH3.0, the new Bracknell Forest Health Improvement Programme, with a particular focus on the use of digital technology and social media and asset-based community development approaches Providing regular reports and updates to relevant structures including the Health and Wellbeing Board, Scrutiny, Cabinet and Council. Location The section is located in Time Square Work Style/Parking This position involves working in the field/attending meetings at work and/or working in other locations. As such, the post holder will be equipped to work remotely with a secure laptop and mobile phone. This may include working from home. It is anticipated that the post holder will be away from their desk at least 20% of their time. It is likely that, when in the office, a desk share arrangement will be in place. There is very restricted parking at our town centre offices (asthampstead House, Time Square and Ocean House). We are occasionally able to acquire additional car parking at other public town centre car parks. The post will be offered as a permanent appointment subject to one month s notice on either side. Salary The salary will be within the local Bracknell Grade F. The grade range is 32,486-37,306 per annum (pro rata for part time); the starting salary offered will depend on your experience. Your salary will go up by one point in the grade each year until you reach the top of the grade. There is also a local weighting of 585 per annum (pro rata for part time). Car Allowance This post carries a Casual Car User Allowance. Business miles are claimed at 45p per mile for the first 8,500 miles and 25p per mile thereafter. OR You are designated as an ssential Car User. The current ssential Car User rate is as follows: Lump sum per annum 963 First 8,500 business miles 40.9p per mile After 8,500 business miles 14.4p per mile ntitlement to ssential Car User Allowance is dependent upon continuing to average 3 or more eligible journeys per week to deliver services or support directly to the community (e.g. to the public/schools/council operated centres). ntitlement will be periodically reviewed.

Working Hours Although your normal working week will be 37 hours, we understand the importance of a healthy work and lifestyle balance for our staff.
