Types of Apprenticeship Apprenticeships are increasingly recognised as the gold standard for work-based training. There are over 100,000 employers offering Apprenticeships in more than 160,000 locations; there are more than 250 different types of Apprenticeships available offering over 1,200 job roles. Raising the Participation Age (RPA) Raising the participation age (RPA) does not mean young people must stay in school; they will able to choose one of the following options: Full-time education, such as school, college or home education Work-based learning, such as an Apprenticeship Part-time education or training if they are employed, self-employed or volunteering for more than 20 hours a week. 7 Presentation title 00/00/2012
