At the core of the organisation is putting people with cerebral palsy at the heart of what we do and creating sporting opportunities for people with cerebral palsy. very year we help hundreds of children, young people and adults disadvantaged by their physical disability to experience the life-changing benefits that participating in sport can provide. All this is only possible because of the work of our fundraising team and the funding we receive from funders, supporters and individuals. This includes key agencies such as Sport ngland and we work in partnership with a wide range of partners including County Sports Partnerships, National Sports Governing Bodies, the nglish Federation for isability Sport (FS), isability Rights UK, Youth Sport Trust, schools, colleges, parents, families and many more. Cerebral Palsy Sport was a founding member of the British Paralympic Association and remains a member today. Our Structure Cerebral Palsy Sport currently employs 11 team members: Chief xecutive, 1 National Sports evelopment Manager, 5 National Sports evelopment Officers, 1 Fundraising and Business evelopment Manager, 2 Fundraising Officers, and 1 Administrator. We are based at the Nottingham Science and Technology Park in Nottingham, ast Midlands. Cerebral Palsy Sport is governed by a Board of Trustees that bring a range of skills in supporting the organisation with governance decisions. The Board of Trustees consists of up to twelve independent individuals with a range of skills and competencies across key sectors that enables Cerebral Palsy Sport to operate as an effective strategic national disability sports organisation (NSO), charity and a Limited Company. Corporate Fundraiser Role (Maternity Cover) This post is focused on developing and implementing Cerebral Palsy Sport s Fundraising Strategy for corporate income, as well as supporting in the development of a fundraising strategy for individual and legacy giving. The particular focus of the role is to increase funding through corporate partnerships by seeking out and securing new partnerships with companies both locally and nationally, as well as managing relationships with existing corporate partners.
Another component of the role is to support the Cerebral Palsy Sport s promotional and marketing activity. We seek a dynamic, motivated and passionate professional to cover the maternity leave of our officer. Key duties and responsibilities Promoting Our Message To support the promotion and marketing activity relating to the organisation s fundraising activity via social media platforms and the regular fundraising e-newsletter. Support the promotions and marketing strategy for Cerebral Palsy Sport to build organisational profile, reach and impact. Support the development of the organisation s effective internal and external communication systems. To ensure adherence to current data protection legislation and systems. To support the development of content for Cerebral Palsy Sport s website. Provide support to the Chief xecutive, team members, Board members and other key stakeholders to help ensure effective and accountable fundraising marketing programmes. To produce written progress reports as required by Cerebral Palsy Sport Chief xecutive and Board. To support and contribute to the development of the Cerebral Palsy Sport Strategic Planning process. Partnerships and Strategic Alliances are key To support the development of strong and effective alliances with other organisations to support the implementation of the fundraising programme. Corporate Fundraising Officer Personal Specification CP Sport ducation/qualifications xperience ducated to degree level or equivalent Certificate in Fundraising Management. iploma in Fundraising Academy. Marketing qualification. Strong demonstrable and practical experience in corporate fundraising (or able to demonstrate equivalent track record/knowledge/experience). Track record of managing and delivering fundraising targets. xperience of advising on major donors, individual giving and legacy fundraising. emonstrable experience and understanding of managing donor and customer relations. Summary of Terms and Conditions This summary is given as a guide and is not intended to form part of a contract of employment Salary The salary for the post is 27,000 per annum pro rata. This figure is reviewed annually in line with pay awards to other members of the organisational team. Contract The job is offered as a part time (0.5) post on a fixed term to cover maternity leave and up to 12 calendar months. Hours of Work Normal officer hours are 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. However evening and weekend work will be required in this role. Location The role will be based out of the National office in Nottingham. Frequency and Method of Payment of Salary Salaries are paid monthly on 23 rd of each month direct to your Bank or Building Society account. Holidays There is an entitlement of 25 days (pro rata) plus Bank Holidays. The leave year runs from 1 st April to 31 st March the following year. Sickness Policy Cerebral Palsy Sport has a sickness policy which you will be given on commencement. Pension Scheme. You will be invited to become a member of the charity s pension scheme. At current time, an employee s minimum contribution is 4%, though you may choose to contribute more. This will be reviewed annually in line with the government s Automatic Pension nrolment Scheme. The pension is provided from Scottish Widows. Policy on Smoking Cerebral Palsy Sport operates a non-smoking policy. Probationary Period You will be employed on a six month probationary period. Should either party wish to terminate the employment during this period, then one week s notice will be required on either side, except for summary termination or gross misconduct.
Notice Period Two calendar months are required by either party after satisfactory completion of the probationary period. Training Cerebral Palsy Sport provides opportunities for all staff to undertake professional skills training in relation to their role, through an agreed performance and development review process.
