The Radtac Key to Change Too few consultancies understand this they want to sell you their method, their solution and promise it will magically change your world; without bothering to learn what s unique about your organisation, understand your goals or take account of your particular constraints. Above all, they are not interested in your people and their needs and no change will ever succeed if hearts and minds do not go on the journey. What does Radtac do differently? At Radtac, we put people and outcomes first, and methods second. We believe in rapid evolutionary change at a sustainable pace. We believe in putting the tools of change in your hands and guiding you in the best way to use them. Our goal is helping you achieve your outcomes without a long-term dependency on us. Whether you're aiming for: - Delivering your products and services on time with fewer risks, - Faster development of products and services to meet your market's needs, - Producing customer value quicker than your competition, - Saving costs whilst improving customer experience, - Reducing staff losses and building the best talent for your future needs, we aim to be the key that unlocks potential in your organisation. What is the Radtac Key? The Radtac Key is a dynamic, adaptable, four-stage engagement model that enables Agile-based change. Our engagement model is based on more than 20 years of experience with transformation proven to deliver positive and successful change. Watch the video below to find out more. Review

We start by identifying your current state, your current organisational culture and desired outcomes. Culture matters because it is an important enabler for change. The wrong culture can also prevent change. So depending on your goals, to a greater or lesser extent we ll need to help you take your people on a journey and the culture to get there. That could involve a change from top to bottom, depending on the situation. After mapping the current situation, culture and your future goals, we then typically help you create a roadmap to identify the key milestones for change, including the ideal pilot project if you are starting Agile for the first time. Learn more about this Review - Current State We ll work with you and to understand your organisational context and the environment: where you are today. We do this through interviews and/or workshops with your people representing a slice of your end-to-end delivery process plus key stakeholders. Radtac Key - Review-Current State Review - Current Culture Depending on the scale of the change you want to drive, we may also explore your current culture and the behaviours on the ground that may help or hinder change, using our tools: Establishing the views from the Back of the Boat and Front of the Boat Understand the Culture Pyramid - The Learning Organisation Cultural Values Assessment: Mapping where you are and where you want to be These cultural interventions take the form of surveys and workshops and we may need to involve a variety of people from different levels at different teams, including delivery teams, middle and senior management. Review Current Culture with the Radtac Key

Review - Desired Outcomes We ll look in depth with you at your desired outcomes, for example: Delivering your products and services on time with fewer risks Faster development of products and services to meet your market's needs Producing customer value quicker than your competition Saving costs whilst improving customer experience Reducing losses and building the best talent for your future needs By examining your outcomes in depth, we ll help you understand exactly what it is that you need to deliver and which options you have before you. Radtac Key - Desired outcomes Review - Roadmap Armed with a good knowledge of your current state, current culture and desired outcomes, we ll help you create a roadmap for change compromising a set of achievable milestones. you put the milestones in order and create a prioritised list of changes to get there step-by-step. These will serve as a master list to govern the progress of your transformation. It will be both your guide and ours. Radtac Key - Roadmap Review - Choose Pilot If this is the first time you have done Agile, we ll help you choose a pilot project. Not every project is equally suited to be your first agile transformation. The ideal pilot project sits balances project size, project duration, project importance, and the engagement of the business sponsor.

Radtac Key - Review-Choose Pilot Adapt Once we know where you are heading, we turn our attention to the best route. It is at this point that we consider Agile methods and which mix of tools and practices will best suit your situation. Every case is different and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. This mix is often grandly titled as your Agile Operating Model. For smaller organisations this will be a straightforward succinct combination of methods and practices. For larger organisations it may be based on a formal scaling framework, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Either way, it will be customised to your specific needs. We ll then help you identify measures that can be used to prove that change is happening and that this change is actually an improvement! Learn more about this Adapt - Consider Methods First we ll consider which Agile methods best suit the nature of the work in your organisation and how it is best delivered. This may be a combination of different methods in different places, so don t be surprised if we don t recommend a single approach for everything. Different problems need different solutions and there are many Agile methods that can work in combination with each other. If you are already using specific methods, we ll evaluate if these make sense to continue with, or if they should be changed. Careful consideration of the nature of your business and people will enable us to guide you to effective choices. The Radtac Key Adapt-Consider Methods

Adapt - Create Agile Operating Model Next we will help you decide on the Agile Operating Model (AOM). An Agile Operating Model is simply the way you will coordinate work across teams, set priorities, and ensure the organisation is working together to deliver against your highest priority business outcomes. For smaller organisations this will be a simple collections of tools and practices with a specific Agile method. For larger organisations, this may be a substantial scaled Agile framework and may be based on one of the common scaling models: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD). The Agile Operating Model will include governance considerations. Radtac Key Adapt- Create AOM Adapt - Identify Measures & Baseline We ll consider with you the key performance indicators (KPIs) that you want to improve, focusing on end-to-end measures of customer and business outcomes. These measures will normally be baselined before we start any change, so that progress can be properly tracked. The Radtac Key Adapt-Measures and baseline Deliver To help you deliver changes you need, we provide a blend of training, coaching, consultancy, team augmentation onsite or offshore & visualisation services.

Training builds knowledge and confidence in your people. We provide both standard certified courses and customised versions tailored to your needs. Mentoring coaching and consulting enables you to make the right decisions and people across your organisation to learn how to get to the right changes as quickly and effectively as possible. The heart of working in an Agile way is visualisation. We provide visualisation as a service to capture your aims and ambitions in an engaging pictorial form ensuring everyone aligns around a common aim, stakeholders stay engaged and confusion is minimised. Team Augmentation is essential, when building an Agile capability and Radtac provide experienced Agile and Transformation experts that work with you at the coal face. Radtac Key - Deliver-Talent Deliver - Visualisation Transformation is all about visualisation; if people cannot see a compelling reason why they should change, or to do anything, they won t. Effective visualisation is about making the invisible visible in a simple to understand and digestible way. This leads to a common view, alignment across people highly engaged stakeholders and clear communication. Our highly skilled visual artists can not only capture and visualise your key information, they can also train visualisation as a skill so that your people can learn and grow their own visualisation abilities.

Radtac Key - Deliver-Visualisation copy Track To complete the cycle, we help you measure and track improvements and assess your Agile maturity, so you can track where you are and see how you compare with others your original plan/expectations Learn more about this Track - Measure Improvements We ll work with you to inspect the measures that are put in place to monitor progress and to understand what changes mean and how they can feed into further improvements and changes. As with all Agile approaches, it is normal to try out improvements, check if they are working, then tweak or replace as needed. The Radtac Key - Track Track - Assess Maturity We have developed and use a number of frameworks for assessing the ability of the team to execute without outside assistance. Our model is not focused on the presence of roles, processes, and ceremonies but on the ability to consistently demonstrate competency: Value-Based Culture Assessment Agile Leadership Compass Agile Maturity Assessment Scrum Checklist Scaled AgileTM Program Portfolio Management Self-Assessment

Scaled Agile TM Agile Release Train Self-Assessment Scaled Agile TM Team Self-Assessment SAFe Program Level Adoption Checklist These assessments are performed regularly by our consultants to give you insight into your progress and how you compare with other organisations.
