This skills enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. Practicing life skills lead to qualities such as self-esteem, sociability, tolerance, values, attitudes and skills with a particular emphasis on skills that are critical thinking, problem solving, self-management, interactive communication and interpersonal skills. WHY A WORK READINESS PROGRAMME? We came to a realization that Universities and colleges in Botswana produce graduates who are ill equipped for the job market. Graduates would come out of University with good theoretical knowledge but when it come to the job market, they are nowhere near ready. In addition, employers require individuals with a range of core work competencies such as team work, self-management and many others. Our aim is therefore to bridge the gap and help manage expectations from both sides, thus making the graduates more employable.
