Purpose of the Role The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer (MEAL) Officer position is responsible for developing a MEAL culture throughout Asian Aid, working internally and also with partners to implement systems and processes, facilitate communications, planning and training in MEAL requirements. This role strengthens and supports the work of the Project Officer and Transition Officer who work with partners to implement supported programs. Reporting Relationships Reports to Direct Reports Program NA In the incumbent s absence the responsibility to cover this position lies with the Program Policies, Procedures and Delegations While Asian Aid Organisation Limited ('Asian Aid') Policies and Procedures do not form part of the Job Description, the MEAL Officer is required to act in accordance with them. Asian Aid may, at its discretion, implement, revise or update Policies and Procedures from time to time. The incumbent will be advised when that happens and have access to them. Develop and provide analysis of program based logical and conceptual frameworks. Assist local partners in developing and maintaining MEAL plans and systems and ensuring that partners are equipped with the required skill to undertake the plan and maintain the system. Ensure the accuracy, relevance and timeliness of data as reflected on internal and external reports to donors, local government units, partners, beneficiaries, among others.
