Custom Templates 37
Custom Templates We ve heard what our clients have said and many business challenges can be resolved by creating custom templates. So let s get into how a custom template can help you get thru the new hire process more efficiently. 38
Custom Templates Why create a custom template? ü You want to hide some fields that you don t use ü You need to make certain fields required for every new hire ü You have setup Time and Labor fields that need to be included ü You want more than what the system templates include ü You want to make the template name meaningful so you know which one to use ü You have more than 1 administrator that needs to enter information 39
Custom Templates First where do I go to start the process? Setup > Template Management > Hire/Rehire Note the same process is done for termination and LOA templates. 40
Next Click Add Custom Templates Note the same process is done for termination and LOA templates. 41
Custom Templates Answer the questions: Note the same process is done for termination and LOA templates. 42
Choose your steps: Custom Templates The list of Available Steps is based upon your product mix i.e. if you didn t have Paid Time Off, you would not see the Time Off step. 43
Custom Templates Make fields required or hidden (or leave them optional): 44
Order the steps: Custom Templates 45
Custom Templates Select the practitioners: You can see the practitioners you ve selected to enter in new hire information: 46

Custom Templates Review and click Done : 48
Checklists 49
Checklists Tell me about checklists: ü These are to-do lists for people OTHER than the new hire ü These are things that are typically done outside of Workforce Now (but you can also have items that can be accomplished within Workforce Now) ü You can create as many as you like ü Each checklist can have as many (or as few) items as necessary 50
Checklists First where do I go to start the process? Setup > Template Management > Hire/Rehire The same place as creating custom templates. 51
Checklists Click the Checklists Tab and then Add : 52
Checklists Enter a name for the checklist and then start adding items: The highlights in yellow are clickable links for the url entered in the instructional text box. 53
Checklists Click done and you ll see it in the list of checklists available for new hire assignment: 54
