Introduction The Earth Care Award seeks to recognize and foster actions and innovations for cimate change mitigation and adaptation by communities, entrepreneurs, sma and medium scae industries and arge scae industries. The award refects the need for decisive action in the SAARC region, considering vunerabiity and chaenges it faces from cimate change in response to the growing awareness about the cimate change effects and their impacts for society. The ECA process recognizes ocay evoved options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, approaches to protect and and water resources and to upscae innovations for increasing energy efficiency. Innovation 2010 Dr. Harender Raj Gautam, Himacha Pradesh For using Botanica formuation of Paddy which reduces usage of Pesticides Innovation for Cimate Protection Focus is on innovations that foster energy efficiency and sustainabiity for reduction in green house gases emissions and hep in mitigating cimate change and buiding resiience. It can be a product or service that heps to cope up with the pressure reated to energy consumption and immerging need of improved energy efficiency. Aso a poicy initiative eading to reduced emissions for becoming cimate-efficient. Appications shoud present: A project of deveoping innovative product or service showing cear reduction in net GHGs emissions or amounts of energy consumed in its use. An appied research for poicy making with proven resuts or pioneering and entrepreneuria efforts of improving systemic energy efficiency or buiding resiience. Cear correation between their innovation and its benefits to the bottom of the pyramid. The award process tries to recognize their efforts and highight the work carried out in the segment of energy efficiency and emission reduction over ast few years. The specific emphasis is on energy conservation, energy efficiency improvement measures, innovations and emission reduction.
