INTRODUCTION 4 As a valued Supplier Partner, we understand the importance of maximizing the profitable sales of your items within our stores. To assist you in this endeavor we have created a catalog for all of our current supplier-funded off-shelf programs. The fixtures that make up these programs provide merchandising consistency throughout our 4530+ stores despite the variations in our store sizes and layouts. NOTE: Store counts listed above are reflected as of August 16 th, 2017. Each off-shelf fixture is assigned a designated location and display period which is communicated to our stores through the Rite Aid Merchandising Presentation department via a Profit Plan or Planogram. The display period for some of our supplier-funded off-shelf programs is based on our Profit Plan, Best of Beauty or Planogram schedules. For your reference, we have included these schedules in this catalog. 2018 Profit Plan Schedule: The Rite Aid Profit Plan is a merchandising tool that is used by our store associates to merchandise off-shelf programs properly. The Profit Plan allows us to merchandise these programs consistently throughout our chain of 4530+ stores. The Profit Plan is published (11) times a year. To meet the different merchandising / configuration needs, stores are provided with either an Display Period East, West, or Customer World version Samples Due at Merchandise Month 2018 Start Finish of the Profit Plan. Product in DC Date: The deadline for merchandise / fixtures to be received in the Distribution Centers for shipment to stores. 2018 NEW ITEM SUBMISSIONS 20 In order to offer our consumers the latest new items, Rite Aid introduces these items into planograms in between scheduled full planogram review dates. While new item introductions are critical to increasing sales, constant turmoil within the planogram is perceived negatively by our customers, which defeats the goal of increasing sales and in turn causes both of us to lose customers. The key to implementing successful new item revisions is to PRE-PLAN. Based on this philosophy, we have created the following criteria and guidelines for submitting new items. Criteria for New Items: In order to improve the speed to shelf, we have placed new items into three (3) tiers: Tier 1 Rx to OTC/ANDA: All National Brand Rx to OTC switches may be considered Tier 1 launches, regardless of Supplier Partner media spend or sales potential. Rite Aid brand first ANDA (Abbreviated New Drug Application) launches will be evaluated based on sales potential. Items that will generate sales of $400K or more per sku will be considered Tier 1. Tier 1 Criteria (Non-ANDA): Supplier Partner will spend at least $75M in advertising (not brand spend) on launch, of which at least half of which needs to be spent on TV advertising. A line with 4 or more skus: Line will generate annual sales of more than $1.5M, providing that on a per item basis, sales are projected to average $250K per sku. For a line with 3 or less skus, each sku will generate at least $500K in sales. Tier 1 Executional Excellence: Line will be considered for feature in ad the first two weeks after first receipt date. Line may use coming soon verbiage on an inside page of a circular for two weeks prior to launch depending upon spend and sales potential. When available and warranted, line may be supported with floor stand to be placed in high profile area. Floor stand should not hold more than 8 weeks of supply on any item, based on sales projections. Lines to be placed into separate totes at the distribution centers, with special labeling. Supplier Partner is expected to fund any expedited shipping needed to support the ad dates. Supplier Partner is expected to fund REP merchandising teams. Sales per sku to be measured weekly against Supplier Partner provided sales projections. Adjustments to promotional plans made as needed.

Tier 2 Criteria Each individual sku in a line will generate annual sales of $300K or greater. ($300K sku at 35% gross margin equals $22 in gross margin per store per year, barely paying for the stores time). Supplier Partner will spend $20M or more on media, at least half of which needs to be spent on TV advertising. Tier 2 Executional Excellence Lines will be considered for feature in ad within first 3 weeks of receipt date, using It s New verbiage on an inside page. Lines to be placed into separate totes at the distribution centers, with special labeling. Supplier Partner is expected to fund REP merchandising teams. Tier 3 Criteria: Items that do not meet the criteria for Tier 1 or 2 launches will be evaluated by Category Management team and DVP for in-store timing. If placement outside of planogram timing is warranted, Supplier Partner is expected to fund REP merchandising teams New Item Revision Guidelines for Submission: Tier 1 and Tier 2 new items will be placed with minimal change to the planogram. Any time it is necessary to move more than 20% of an existing planogram, it is no longer considered a new item revision and must be included as part of a full planogram reset. All aspects of the New Item Revision timeline must be followed. If an item is not received during the timeline shown below, it will not be scheduled for placement. Timeline = Once the skus are set up in the Rite Aid System it takes approximately nine (9) weeks from receipt of the Tier 1 / Tier 2 new item, for product and new item revision bulletin to be sent to the stores. - Tier 1 New Items may be submitted at any time throughout the year. - Tier 2&3 New Items may be submitted January through September. New Item Revisions will only arrive in our stores January 2 nd through September 30 th. NOTE: To complete revisions outside of this period may require the use of REP (Crossmark) or EVP of Merchandising approval. 2018 NEW ITEM SUBMISSIONS 21
