In some parts of our community the level of disadvantage is at alarming and unacceptable levels - we are determined to ensure that this changes. The Foundation s Theory of Change states that generally, people do not experience disadvantage when they have access to an education that enables them to obtain life sustaining and sustainable employment, and they are not limited by a debilitating life crisis. The Foundation aims to ensure that these conditions exist for all members of our community. Since 1954, the Give Where You Live Foundation has been bringing together individual community donors, corporate supporters and service delivery community partners to help achieve our mission. With our partners and donors, we work together to Build Better Communities by providing grants and delivering programs that help provide educational and employment opportunities and support people experiencing life crises. Our mission is to create long-term sustainable change for those suffering the effects of disadvantage. The Foundation delivers our own programs such as Feed Geelong, GROW, ENGAGE Youth in Philanthropy and our Emergency Assisted Voucher and is one the largest annual community grant makers in the country. POSITION PURPOSE The Partnerships Manager is responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining financial and in-kind relationships with the key stakeholders / donors of the Foundation. The role is responsible for identifying and packaging partnership opportunities across the Foundation to achieve the accompanying financial targets: Business Tiered Partners and BIG Program Partners Event Partners Workplace Giving and the deliver of its accompany Loaned Executive Program Individual Donors and Committed Givers Third Party Fundraising Reporting to the General Manager: Marketing & Fundraising, the position is responsible for timely and appropriate communications with these partners as well as the management of their individual partnership agreements. Ultimately, the role of the Partnerships Manager is to promote the profile of the Give Where You Live Foundation within the Business Sectors of the G21 region, ensuring that the Foundation is a Community / Charity Partner of choice.

Execution and annual evaluation and assessment of all business partnerships. Identification and development of new tiered partners Prepare and develop strategic actions and plans for attaining new business partners Provide relevant and timely communications to partners Provide effective thanks and acknowledgement of partners Develop a robust engagement plan across off donors and partners Growth of corporate partnership base Maintain up to date records of partners, partner communications and management of CRM system (Salesforce) Maintenance of relationships with current business tiered partners. Manage all Tiered Partners including their individual partnership agreements and accompanying promotion.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Support General Manager of Marketing & Fundraising in maintaining Platinum Partner relationships. Identify opportunities to develop partnerships with new corporate entities. Seek new business partners for Workplace Giving, BIG program and tiered partners. Develop and implement Give Where You Live Foundation practices which complement the CSR strategies of corporations, positioning the Foundation as their key Community Partner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact details of Corporate Partners In conjunction with the Marketing & Fundraising Manager, ensure timely and appropriate communications with and of the Corporate and Workplace Giving supporters Represent the Foundation at Geelong / G21 regional industry and business events and functions This role manages and delivers the annual budgets relating to business income with support from the Marketing Coordinator. Developing, monitoring and implementing strategies to achieve income budgets: Develop, monitor and deliver annual budgets relating to: o Corporate Donations Tiered & BIG o Workplace Giving o Event Sponsorship together with the Events Manager o Third Party Fundraising Identify budget anomalies and cross-checking with projected targets and employing strategies to address Manage growth in current Workplace Giving companies Develop budget projections across relevant cost centres Budgets are achieved Initiatives are undertaken to achieve growth Appropriate action taken to address any budget anomalies and inconsistencies Reports accurately reflect the incoming funds Management reports completed on time
WORKPLACE GIVING Manage the Foundation s Workplace Giving program Set and achieve annual financial budgets Develop strategies to grow Workplace Giving income and cultivate participating partners Develop Workplace Giving Week strategy in line with the national campaign Work with participating organisations to grow their Workplace Giving program Ensure all partners receive annual to biennial Loaned Executive Program presentation Meet annual income budget Monitor and report on monthly budgets and take appropriate action to address any budget anomalies and inconsistencies Maintain relationship with participating organisations Provide relevant and timely communications to donors LOANED EXECUTIVE PROGRAM Manage the annual recruitment process Deliver the Loaned Executive Training Program, engaging quality speakers / trainers where appropriate Deliver the annual Loaned Executive program providing appropriate support over the 8-week period Develop a strategy that can be implemented outside of the Loaned Executive program to larger regional organisations such as City of Greater Geelong, NIDS, WorkSafe, Epworth Health and the TAC Recruitment of 30-40 annual Loaned Executive Program participants Deliver the annual Loaned Executive Training Program in conjunction with the General Manager: Marketing & Fundraising and Grants & Impact Manager Meet the Loaned Executive financial budget to be delivered via the program
PARTNERSHIP EVENTS KEY EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS Work with the Manager: Marketing & Fundraising and the Events Manager to: Develop events to reward and engage corporate partners: tiered partners and BIG program partners Develop events to promote Workplace Giving Develop Loaned Executive training and recognition following the annual program Assist to obtain and oversee the execution of event sponsorships and agreements Build and maintain the following relationships: Corporate partner Senior Management and key personnel Key Industry-type Peak Bodies Business Associations HR and Payroll departments of partner organisations Workplace Giving Donors Partnership events delivered Loaned Executive training program delivered Stakeholders receive appropriate and timely communications Partners are appropriately recognised in line with their partnership agreements Relationships remain strong
CANDIATE - KEY SELECTION CRITERIA Essential skills/abilities Minimum 3 years business / management / partnership experience Ability to engage with a variety of people (professional and volunteers) Fundraising and / or Sales experience Budgeting: working knowledge and experience A knowledge of CRM Systems (knowledge of Salesforce, would be an advantage) Effective communicator, especially detailed and precise information and instructions to ensure all parties understand exactly what is expected of them Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs Ability to engage with a variety of people Well-developed management skills Strong commitment to providing high levels of customer service (both internal and external stakeholders). Initiative, flexibility and ability to work independently as well as in a team. High levels of self-motivation and initiative. Ownership and accountability of one s work High levels of confidentiality and integrity (relating to both data and verbal communication).
