02 Our Leadership Team Kevin Meyer President and Managing Director E-mail: kmeyer@grassicpas.com With over 20 years of experience, Kevin has assisted a variety of clients with the successful management, design, development, testing, training, and implementation of their Financial, Supply Chain, Customer Relationship, and Human Resource systems. Kevin has been recognized for his functional and technical expertise within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) space as well as his ability to thoroughly manage and deliver based on client expectations. Kevin s career began in the mid-1990 s, with Andersen Consulting, when ERP systems were just becoming an integral part of the business landscape. Before ERP systems, separate organizational functional areas maintained their own data within their own databases and operating systems. This led to difficulty sharing data between organizational divisions and increased costs to maintain multiple disparate systems. As a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the SUNY Albany Business School, Kevin promptly identified the appropriate integration points for Andersen clients and quickly emerged as a Functional and Technical leader within the ERP implementation space. With a large breadth of knowledge within the implementation and integration of business systems, Kevin brings to his clients a clear understanding of the right software solutions for them as well as the insight to determine the correct project resources in order to implement efficiently and within budget. In addition to Kevin s depth of functional, technical, and project management experience, he also brings to his clients a unique legal perspective. In pursuing his Juris Doctor, Kevin rounds out the full suite of skills that are integral to properly implementing and integrating ERP systems. These additional skills help protect clients during software contract negotiations as well as ensure that the appropriate regulation and compliance functionality is part of the ERP implementation. Kevin has been engaged with clients such as Corning Inc, N.Y. Times, Societe Generale, Verizon, Sprint/Nextel (merger of ERP systems), North Shore LIJ Health System, PECO Energy, as well as various large Government, Utility, Manufacturing, and Construction clients.

04 Industry Experience GTC services a wide range of industries. We understand that every industry faces challenges unique to that market, so all strategic solutions offered by GTC are tailored to the specific needs of the client and their respective industry, maximizing our client s potential for success. Here is a sampling of the industries we serve and the project service we provided: Healthcare GTC was engaged as a Business Consultant Partner, and External Program Manager for the a major healthcare system in the restructuring of their ERP implementation and integration. Project involved the roll-out of the ERP Financial Suite of applications, as well as managing and recommending the overall conversion direction for the Financials ERP acquisitions. Financial Services The GTC Team was enlisted to roll-out the ERP Financial Suite of applications, specifically the eprocurement, Purchasing, Account Payable, Asset Management, General Ledger and Core HR modules for a large financial services firm. The project included Quality Assurance testing, ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, business process improvement analysis, and product support and training. GTC was also engaged by another financial services firm to assist the client with the roll-out of the firm s PeopleSoft Financial Suite (V 8.4) of applications, specifically the Asset Management, Purchase Order, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses and General Ledger modules. Project responsibilities included the resolution of outstanding technology system user issues, development of custom reporting, and development of custom technology based operational processes based on specific business unit needs. Government and Not-For-Profit A U.S. Government Agency brought in the GTC Team to roll-out the Agency s ERP Financial Suite and PeopleSoft Human Resource Suite of applications. In addition, project included managing and recommending the overall business direction for the Financials and Human Resources applications. GTC played multiple roles as the client s Senior Business Consultant Partner, Project Manager for both the ERP Financial Suite and Human Resources Suite roll-out, Technical/ Functional Team Lead for both accounting and eprocurement implementation. Telecommunications GTC was engaged to design, develop and implement the roll-out of a large telecommunications company s ERP Financial Suite of applications, specifically the Asset Management, Purchase Order, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Project Costing and General Ledger modules. The project included the development of comprehensive workflow processes the company incorporated into their daily operations. Detailed Case Studies are available on following page.

05 Case Study 1 U.S. Hospital System THE PROBLEM A large U.S. Hospital System had affiliated and subsidiary hospitals with individual disparate systems which caused difficulty in sharing financial information. Subsidiary Subsidiary Health System Subsidiary Although an ERP system was adopted a decade earlier, not all hospitals were converted and some stayed on their legacy systems which duplicated efforts and costs around support staff, licensing and maintenance fees, upgrades, and system enhancements. OUR APPROACH GTC s objective was to on-board the remaining hospitals while taking into account the separate business processes, understanding their existing legacy systems, technically converting the data, functionally understanding the change in business process, and managing the implementation for a smooth transition. The project involved supporting the client in defining the scope, creating a comprehensive budget estimate, securing approval for the project, preparing the project and staff management plans, on-boarding qualified resources (such as project managers, functional business analysts, and technical resources), and executing according to organizational expectations. IMPACT: How we brought value... Through a deep understanding of ERP systems and how this type of data flows most efficiently, GTC successfully implemented ERP solutions at multiple hospital locations using proprietary methods developed to streamline the process and provide assurance of system functionality and data integrity. This overall project management approach ensured a timely and costefficient implementation: Subsidiary Subsidiary ERP Solution Health System

05 Case Study 2 Construction and Services Firm THE PROBLEM A large construction and services firm required upgrading of their customer service, inventory, and distribution systems, and needed this information to interface seamlessly with their finance modules. These systems were different and much of the business process was manual. The company had technical consultants who assisted in the initial install and support of the existing systems. Although these consultants supplied them with reporting, the company realized they required bigger thinkers who were capable of understanding their unique business process and make the right recommendations for software, streamlining data, and building new efficiencies into their current business processes. OUR APPROACH On multiple occasions, the GTC Team met with the client and recommended dividing the project into two critical phases the Assessment and Requirements Gathering Phase and the Implementation Phase. The methodology of dividing the project into these two components enabled the client to establish separate budgets and timelines for each phase, and was able to manage the project more efficiently. The Assessment and Requirements Gathering Phase was the most important and identified the following: 1. Detailed requirements by Functional Area 2. Delivered a formal Request for Proposal for Software Vendor and Implementation Partner 3. Identifies in detail the Project Plan and budget for the Implementation Phase The Assessment and Requirements Gathering Phase clearly identified the Functional Requirements, Software Vendor, Implementation Partner, and project timeline, leading to a more efficient Implementation Phase and significant cost savings over the life of the project. The Implementation Phase included design and configuration, testing, Organization Change Management and training, the Go Live process and Post Production Support. IMPACT: How we brought value... The Construction client was able to implement on time, on budget, and with the proper organizational change management. By appropriately focusing on the Assessment and Requirements Gathering Phase, the client was able to realize two benefits: Improved project implementation time frame from initial estimates of 9 months to 6 months Thorough understanding of their requirements, team expectations, project timeline, and the best suited partner to execute the project properly Their Return on Investment was measured by: 1. Significant cost savings during the Implementation Phase 2. Realizing a more efficient business process through a quicker implementation
