Instructions for use - tender specifications for UNIGLAS FACADE: The performance limit is the glued laminated timber post and beam construction to be provided by the customer. The minimum timber quality of the construction must correspond to grade GL 24 for glued laminated timber. The minimum width of posts and beams is 60 mm. The structural design must prove that the beam has a maximum deflection of l/500 from the weight of the beam itself including the weight of the insulating glass. Contrary to DIN 18202:2013-04 and DIN 18203-3:2008-08, the installation inaccuracy (dimensions) of the post and beam construction is maximum ± 2 mm (=> maximum tolerance 4 mm) with regard to the reference point of a reference axis both in height and in the axes. The offset of the posts from the beams at the level of the insertion elements must not exceed ± 0.5 mm. The maximum sag of the beams must be limited to fmax l/500. Beam axis 2 Beam axis 1 h Nominal axis dimension ± 2 mm Beam axis 0 Post axis 0 1 2. n b n Nominal axis dimension ± 2 mm Example of installation inaccuracies for nominal dimension transgression with the post (beam dimension h arises parallel to reference point = post axis 0 / beam axis 0): Other performance limits are lateral building connections, as well as connections to the base, eaves or attic, including insulation and cladding with flashings, as well as exterior sun protection. The glazing is not further specified. Any functional glazing from the corresponding proposal, the UNIGLAS product range or even panels, PV or solar thermal energy modules in insulating glass technology can be used here. Tenders for a window and/or glazed doors with turn-tilt function as an insert element are invited by way of example. Accordingly tenders are also invited for sliding sashes or lift-slide sashes as an insert element, as presented in the guiding notes.

UNIGLAS Tender Specifications for Special contractual conditions: Insulating glass elements The insulating glass elements used and integrated must bear the CE mark, as well as the Ü-mark for multipane insulating glass in Germany in accordance with Bauregelliste A, Part 1, Annex 11.10.
