Elements and Performance Criteria Element 1 Identify and explain an understanding of managerial expertise 1.1. Managerial tasks are explained. These include but are not limited to planning, organising, leadership, control and decision making. 1.2. Different levels of management are discussed. These include but are not limited to top, middle and lower management. 1.3. The impact of effective management on business is discussed. These include but is not limited to increase in production, profits, satisfied work force. Element 2 Identify,discuss and evaluate different managerial styles 2.1. Different management styles are identified and discussed in line with best practice principles. These include but are not limite to democratic,autocratic,laissez-faire and quality circles. 2.2. The effect of different management styles on community and business are evaluated in line with best practice principles. These include but are not limited to democratic, autocratic,laissez-faire and quality circles. 2.3. The strategies to change a particular management style are discussed in line with best practice principles. The strategies include but are not limited to workshops, observation, self -assessment and networking. 3.1. Administrative capabilities are identified and expalined in line with best practice principles. These include but are not limited to communication and information systems, bookkeeping systems and support systems. 3.2. Banking techniques and skills applicable to individuals are described, explained and demonstrated in line with best practice principles. These include but are not limited to opening an account, operation of an ATM and depositing. 3.3. Skills and techniques in information gathering and distribution are demonstrated in line with best practice principles.
